Atlas shrugged may be personally influencial to those who read it, but it has not shaped society in general the way those other books have. Without some of them there would not be a “Western civilization”

It’s not so much a question of what’s still read but what holds influence. A lot of people read ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’ but that doesn’t give it influence on thought and action.
