Aside from the NY, NJ and CT people, I would assume the folks from TN would lead the pack...

You mean 'The Volunteer State'...:)
I'm a Tennessean and I was just wondering how I could best help President Bush's campaign.
Don't know if traveling to New York is the answer...(we're in Florida)...
...It might be more productive for us to stay put & keep the Demos from stealing the election here as I'm sure they plan to do!

Can't be there in NYC but my brother volunteered in 1992. He met a number of people working as an usher.
Together we got to meet Lionel Hampton who I think was still serving as a delegate.

Be lots more useful to be a poll watcher, I'd think.
Especially down there in the land of the cognitively impaired.

A buddy of mine from Brooklyn signed up. He said that there was a pretty racially mixed bunch - lots of Black people. His group was mostly local so I was surprised.

Yep...I WAS referring to the Great State of Tennessee--the Volunteer State (I had heard they earned that name since they were the best represented state at The Alamo).
And I agree with the poster above--poll watching in FLA may very well be the best use of your time!

Fine and dandy, Pharmboy.
Just don't bring one of your 'favorites' to the big show, OK? Thanks.

Nope...do not worry. All's legal in the Garden State, but not in NYC.
When I lived in NYC, I had a concealed carry for 19 years and only had to put my hand on the gun once--never had to pull it though.

Frankly, with all the dirty tricks the ABB crowd has planned, I would be concerned about soliciting volunteers on-line. How many Yvette Lazanos are lining up to sabotage things at the convention?
To: soccermom
The process seems pretty good based on their on-line questionnaire. I hope they do ask me a lot when they meet me, though. Good point.

I Just Applied to Volunteer at the Republican Convention...Did they say what you would be doing?
To: Pharmboy
I already signed up. I'm waiting to hear about training. YOu have to do the orientation first--it only takes a few minutes.
