Actually mainstream feminist magazines like Ms. did do article in defense of Ms. Stewart. Bear in mind however, that Martha Stewart is a liberal and a donor $$$$$ to the Democratic Party. If she were a conservative, I don't think they would have bothered.
This is true. Also, young boys are taken as sex slaves and raped, gang raped, sexually tortured, etc ... and forced to fight against their own people on threat of more torture and rape.
The scale of the atrocitied going on is mind-boggling.
But to be fair, NO ONE is really talking about these things either. The silence is deafening. I'd say the extreme apathy towards all the misery going on in Sudan is pretty gender nuetral.
