This isn't the second time Kerry's flipped off vets. He's been doing it for 35 years.

"The only one" One too many. Of all crews I was with, we were bruised, buffeted, scratched, bitten, punctured, broke bones, got rashes, survived heat, cold and exhaustion. We also lost 26 in a crash. No one quit; no Purple Hearts. Danang, '69 -- '71. NO COMPLAINTS.

Well, I'm curious, HOW MANY VETS CAME HOME ON PURPLE HEARTS?
YOu would think that number would be some where in the Navpers system?
I have yet to hear of any others? None coming forward to
say, "Like Kerry, I got three in four and came home!".
I was a jet mech at Chu Lai for 21 months, any injuries I received were work related, I had never heard of this
three and your're out deal till Kerry.
Some where there is an answer to this.

While I was there, we hardly ever saw a Doctor. Flight physical, once a Marine cpl broke his arm and a doc confirmed this and pitched him back to the corpsmen who set & casted it. Any problems we had we took to the corpsman in our area. Rx: APC and a return to duty chit. Once in a great while we'd have a picnic a China Beach, an in-country R&R site. The guys we met there were dinged up, and probably up for PHs but they returned to their units after a few days. Like you I'd never heard of the 3 & home rule (request?)

Well, thanks, it isn't every day that I'm called a liar. Stand down. No one has called you a liar in this thread.
I didn't see the bird myself but absolutely believe the Swift Boat Vet that he received it. His elation at the gift from Kerry was unabashed and spontaneous. But doubt us if you wish.
Its not a question of doubt, its a question of proof. Photographs are fine but can be and are faked every day, providing instant plausible deniability to the Rats.
You know the saying that "A picture is worth a thousand words?" In this particular case, all we are saying is that something as simple as a $100 video camera in the right hands could have cost Kerry thousands of votes and possibly even the election.
