Went into a CompUSA in Columbia, MD today and, while shopping, noticed a movie trailer for Fahrenheit 911 running on several PCs and MACs. It seemed to be one of several being run. I didn't check but them all but my guess is that this is the movie trailer that runs on all the PCs and MACs in all their stores nationwide.

I sought out the on-duty CompUSA store manager and asked him about the trailer and he said they were distributed by the CompUSA office.

I expressed my extreme displeasure that when I go shopping I don't expect to see political messages and (1) I will be contacting their corporate offices on Moday and (2) don't expect me to be seen in CompUSA if they don't remove this garbage.

I'm certain that they'll just say that they get the videos fromsome distributor or something but it's still their stores.

Thats it. I will never shop with CompUSA again. Their prices are too high anyway.

Also advise them that running/advertising F911 before the november election runs afoul of campaign finances laws and its display is a campaign contribution and thus regulated by the FEC.

CompUSA is now owned by a Mexican Company which may explain the 911 fiasco.
