It's called "common sense".
"Lurch gave him this opportunity for us to meet him..."
I'm thinking there was one rather funny moment when Wallace asked him about his mom being a loose cannon. I wasn't totally paying attention, but it seemed to me that they both said "it's awful" at the same time.
I'm sure that's a life-long character trait with her, and I can imagine many painful moments with a mother like that. I had enough of them with my own, er, um, intemperate mom.

I give up, why?
Brian Lamb is a huge Liberal.
Really? I've never heard him voice an opinion one way or another on any issue. What do you base that statement on - especially the "huge" part?
Several months ago, possibly when his book came out, he talked about her at length on Brit's show. Almost had me in tears. She has been ill for so long that Mort probably had time to come to terms with her eventual passing. Her suffering is over and returning to his work is probably his way of handling his grief.
Hear, hear!! Heinz was about as dull as a box of rocks. It was almost painful to watch. Maybe he was snorting Mommy's botox or something. The lights just were not on. And then he makes the lame and obviously prepared joke about how it is uncool to live at home! Hey Chris: is it lame to live off your mommy's money instead of getting a real job?
