I'll bet it is that the event will be an expose of John FReaking Kerry and his sex habits (ala Mikey Jackson)via the FBI files they still have, that will destroy his candicy and will propell Hillary to the forefront.

I'm just guessing, but according to somebody who knows the Clintons very well told me this and they have been right every time with information.

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply! I will definitely investigate this trade and at least paper trade it. I am so new to all this -- all I have done is paper trading so far. I am taking a course in stock options/cash flow investing right now and I just bought the book Profit with Options by McMillan. I'll be sure and pay extra attention to his chapter on Implied Volatility. Your book looks good too (I looked it up on Amazon). I may just have to buy it. :-) Thank you again for the detailed reply to such a novice.

This could be very true - since he such a shady history. I would urge all of you to contact the SEC, and express you thoughts - and in case, it does happened, at least we know - why.

>Now, you may say ''What if the price of March NG goes to $20.00, you're >gonna get murdered!'' Uh, no I'm not...because I will have exited the trade >somewhere between 10.25 and 11.00, and at a HUGE profit.

The finite profit potential is dwarfed by the INFINITE loss potential of this scheme. There is a small (but very possible) chance that NGH2005 gaps up (outside of US trading hours) and anyone with this scheme could lose several times his/her initial investment.

My advice to investors has always been:
1) if you don't understand the scheme, don't try it.
2) there is no such thing as a sure winner.

So what do you think about the possibilities of him pulling off something crooked here?

This is a very tough question. Soros loathes Mr. Bush, but his personal fortune can hardly manage to tank the stock markets or the dollar, BY HIM/ITSELF. In any case, Soros has proven himself to be rather less than a genius when trading S&P500 Index and other American stock indices. Marty Schwartz' book (and THIS guy really is a super trader, btw) tells an absolutely wonderful, and quite true, tale of Soros getting just killed in the S&P500 during the week following ''Black Monday'', October 19, 1987.

The I think unanswerable question is whether Soros can/could/might find enough heavyweight financial allies whose COMBINED capital might be able to tank the U.S. stock markets. Oh, the capital is out there, it's available, not a doubt in the world...but the question is: HOW MUCH of this capital is willing to commit seppuku just to remove Mr. Bush from office.

I've no idea, but, may I without seeming to fawn compliment you for asking one of the more far-sighted questions I've personally seen in this political year!

FReegards (and, if you're a trader, good trading!)

Soros could squeeze out a lot of small fry, then scoop it all back up on the cheap.

Best wishes on your investigation into trading, and, make no mistake, you're doing at least part of learning trading correctly, to wit, paper trading to see how things go.

NEVER trade until you, personally, are ''ready'' (and this means different things to different people, of course) to trade.

Short answer: I don't know.

Longer answer: Of course there are plenty of credible predictions. The bulls make a credible case for a bull market. The bears make a credible case for a bear market. Frankly, I have decided that the short-term (days or weeks) direction of the market is truly unpredictable. I think the stock market is a system that is driven into chaos, and thus is truly unpredictable in a strict sense. Over a long period, the market will follow the trend of economic growth, which has been positive in the long term.

What's NGH05? I'm looking in the usual places, and not finding it. Thanks.

Ok, answered own question. NGH5 or NGH05 is the Mar 2005 natural gas futures contract. Found info about this via Google and the Refco site. Thanks.
