I'd put about as much stock in this as the stories in Arab newspapers about Jews eating Arab babies or whatever.....

. . . your not suggesting . . . Damn, I never make that mistake . . . But it is cool that there's one less al Douri running around Iraq!
To: Strategerist
Yep, too good to be true.
If there really is any truth to it, I doubt we will have to wait long to find out.

Foxnews...The guy that replaced David Kay gave a closed door briefing to a Senate Committee today and Fox said he told the
the Senators that.... the video clip included Senator Warner smiling for the camera and some shots of the incredible quantities of Artillery ?Shells out in the open in Iraq!
I hadn't looked to see if there is anything on the Website.

while being married to a lebo.
Lebo...wasn't that a rock group that wore pots on their heads?

No there are various al-Douris from Dour. Issak al-Douri, the former vice-president is still missing though may be dead as suffers from leukemia. Then there is Sabir Abdul Aziz al-Douri, former governor of Baghdad and head of military intelligence during the 1991 war.
This guy was a senior Ba'athist, in intelligence whose areas of responsibilities focussed on Najaf, Kerbala and Hillar.
FYI Every Iraqi I have spoken to dismisses this story as nonsense...
To: Travis McGee
He was arrested in an area between Oja and al-Dour, in Salahidine province.
The same sources said three missiles were found with nuclear heads attached in a tunnel six metres underground.
A cement layer six metres thick had been built over the tunnel to hide it from scientific ray detection that could detect the radiation emitted by the nuclear heads. Ritter mentioned three prototype nuke bombs had been developed. Someone else did as well. But these were just bombs and not ready for being placed on missiles. That would be a huge advance if it was true. I don't think there was anyone who suggested they could have anything even remotely physically ready to mount on a missile.
If it does nothing else I hope it at least for a moment made the DUers pee their pilfered documents.

Soxgate is barely raising eyebrows in the lamestream media....inadvertant errors are made/sarcasm.
Clinton say it's hilarious.

There's a map of the Tikrit area
here:
I think the article is talking about the area on the right (east) side of the Tigris river from the town of Ad Dowr (another spelling of Dour) to the point where the Tigris takes a sharp left turn, where Ouja should be (
Ouja means "the turning" so named because of its location on a sharp bend of the Tigris River 8 kilometers south of Tikrit).
Saddam was
born in Ouja and
captured in Dour. And Khidur's name suggests he's from Dour, as well.
This makes the story a little more credible, but it's still rumor, not fact.
To: piasa
If this is true...expect to see the President on TV tomorrow afternoon, or evening. With a HUGE grin on his face. "My fellow Americans, I've got something to tell you..."
