** FASCINATING READ **

Let's see -- Bill Clinton -- nevermind....too busy creating and penning - um...untruths."

"It's the only thing he knows how to do apparently. :)

The following is a Real Life Illustration of how devious Clinton truly is.
It is the content of an article from our weekly newspaper, The People sentinel, from the July 7, 2004 Editorial Page.

It is written by a Senior Editor, Phil Hudgins.
Please read it all the way through, the beginning perhaps tedious as he *sets the stage of the source* of what is revealed!

======================================

Is Clinton telling the whole truth this time?

Let me tell you about Roger B. Porter.
I met Roger in September of 1973 in Cambridge, Mass. He was working on his doctorate at Harvard University. I was beginning a Nieman Fellowship at Harvard, a study program for journalists.

Roger and his wife, Ann, lived across the lane from us: my wife, Shirley, and me and our two little girls. Our apartment at 7 Shaler Lane was tiny, but we could always make room for our friends, who visited us a couple of times a week partly because they didn't have a TV.

The Porters not only became our babysitters for the frequent Nieman functions; they became close friends.

Roger and I talked often. We disagreed sometimes. We disagreed about politics; never about ethics. I would have trusted him with my life, and I learned much from him. He was, and is, a man of honor.

When June of 1974 arrived, my family and I packed up a U-Haul trailer and headed South. Roger and Ann. were leaving for the White House, where Roger had been named a White House Fellow, a plum appointment for someone wanting to make government, both in service and teaching, a career.

We kept up with the Porters for years. They visited us in Georgia; we visited them at the White House.
Roger worked 11 years in the West Wing for three Presidents: Ford, Reagan and the elder Bush. Under Bush, from 1989 to '93, he served as assistant to the President for economic and domestic policy.

Now he's back at Harvard, where he's professor of government and business.

Why am I telling you all this?
Because I want you to know what kind of man Roger Porter is. He is a gentleman and a gentle man.

So you can imagine my surprise when I read in Bill Clinton's book, My Life, that Roger telephoned him from the White House in the summer of 1991 to threaten him. According to the book, Roger said that if Clinton ran for president in 1992, the administration would destroy him personally.

Clinton quoted Roger as saying: "We'll spend whatever we have to spend to get whoever we have to get to say to take you out. And we'll do it early."

I contacted Roger by e-mail to see if he had been quoted accurately. Those words just did not fit the man I knew.

Roger had just written a newspaper column when the e-mail arrived.
The column was titled "Setting the Record straight."

Roger said in the column and in a message to me that the conversation between him and Clinton never happened.
He never even telephoned Clinton.

"The account in Clinton's memoir is a total fabrication," he said.

So whom am I to believe? Just look at the records of the two men, and you know the answer.

And I thought Clinton possibly had learned to be truthful in his newfound humbleness.
Silly me.

* Memo to Darks *

Of course you didn't.
You are blameless.
Think about it, but do not brood.

Write your answer on the blackboard in the corner,
without using your fingernails to screech and annoy anyone.
(The spiders' hearing is especially sensitive, as you know.)

Time's up - did you answer the question??

I therefore can deny, deny, deny I made any errors!

Well, I can truthfully say that I knew all the answers. :)

After I looked them up! LOL!

I enjoyed the quiz, but was dimayed to find I'd answered wrongly on Question #4 ...

But you took the time to take the test - that's gotta count for something! :)

That is a great read, Maggie. I think I'll place my vote for telling the truth with Roger!

It boggles the mind to wonder if *ANYTHING* in the book Clinton wrote (other than his name and those of his family) is true/accurate - or, more likely, slanted/an outright LIE.

One sees a perhaps very twisted and paranoid 'ahm a poah victum' mind......just 'supposin' what it might be, of course....

NewsMax Magazine: Selling Out
Friday, April 30, 2004 11:19 a.m. EDT
More Kerry Car Troubles: 'Purple Heart 3' Vanity Plate, Outsourced
SUV
Unlike most combat vets, Sen. John Kerry has never been shy over
bragging about his wartime experience. But even we were surprised to
hear that his 1985 Dodge is plastered with vanity plates that read
"Purple Heart 3."
The Boston Herald's Howie Carr has done some research into the Kerry
family's fleet of vehicles and has turned up some interesting
details.
Apart from the Purple Heart plates, Carr has discovered that Kerry's
wife, Teresa, is hiding another family SUV at their estate on
Nantucket, in addition to the Chevy Surburban the Heinz Kerrys keep
at their Idaho mansion.
And for this one, the would-be first family decided to outsource.
The plates on the British-made 1997 Land Rover Defender driven by
the woman who wants to be America's next first lady read MOZMBQ - a
reminder of the country Heinz Kerry recently lamented she wished
she'd never left.
"I can't believe my family left Africa and came to this country,"
she griped to the New York Post's Cindy Adams two weeks ago. "I
can't believe I ever even married an American."
The plates on Teresa's 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee read HZ 57, a
reference to the company whose management has spent the last few
months sending out letters to the media insisting it has nothing to
do with her.
And it turns out there's another outsourced car in the Kerry
family's vehicular portfolio. The stepson of the Democrats'
man-of-the-people candidate tools around in a nifty 2002 Porsche
911.

Great thread, Billie. Hanging head in shame...I had 4 correct answers. Always thought going to the moon would be very cool. Could be because: When I was mischevious as a youngster, my dear Mom would lovingly say "I'm gonna send ya to the moon" Or, my imagination as a child, seeing the man in the moon.....hmmm, was it really my imagination ;-)

Kerry, for the little people. Here is just one of the many houses, I mean MANSIONS he owns. This one is in Nantucket.

Haven't watched the news today, Mayor. Any statements from Kerry about Berger?

I wouldn't waste my time even reading about *his life* - it's a sorry one as far as we can tell anyway. One wonders if he was as rotten a kid as he is now.
