Hasn't been warmer here. Its been a fairly cool summer so far...
"Yes. It's all part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. It's all George W. Bush's fault. IMPEACH BUSH NOW!" Said the junior Senator from New York, Hillary Clinton in a stop in Buffalo, NY today. Mrs. Clinton, William Jefferson Clinton, Ted Kennedy and John F. Kerry will be keynote speakers in Boston at the Democratic convention bashing our Commander In Chief, and President of the United States.
El Wrongo my friend. Rosie O, and Rosanne Barr; along with Michael Moore can light up the northern skies better than an asteroid flaming into the atmosphere at 20,000 mph and creating a 50 mile wide crator in the Nevada desert. The folks at NORAD told me so.
Just pop another Corona and forgetaboutit.
I'm 'warmed' and heartened that I'm not the only sarcastic, SOB on this thread. Sarcasm is the methodology that Karen and I use in disarming the libs we've known. At the end of the evening, they're usually converted, or never want to come back to our home for more freeloading steak and corn-on-the-cob. At my age, if they don't love the Republic, then STFU, and furthermore, 'Cheney'-you. (I loved what the Veep told Patrick Leahy last week.)
Many stars are variable. Some more, some less. Our sun does vary, there is no question of that.
Kerry/Edwards Blame Bush for Hotter Sun
John Kerry today accused George Bush for the rise in solar temperatures increasing global warming.
"I have been told by foreign leaders over secret New York lunches that the Bush Administration, using secret contracts in Iraq with corrupt Halliburton executives, has been sending excess Iraqi oil to the sun onboard NASA rockets." Kerry claims that Bush did this to create a phony oil shortage and raise the prices to enrich American oil companies who contribute to the Bush campaign.
Kerry further claims that the incompetent Bush people did not know that the oil would ignite when it arrived at the sun. "These dunces did not know that the sun can be even hotter than black vinyl car seats" said scientist and DNC Chairman Terry McAullife.
Running mate John Edwards said that he is forming a lawyers' PAC, "COOL" (Completely Opportunistic Obnoxious Lawyers), to sue the Bush Administration. Edwards said any awards from the lawsuits will be given to several 527 charities, minus his contingent fee. Edwards said "Don't think that I am going to take a fat salary out of these fees. I will take most of the returns as dividends so that I can legally avoid Medicare taxes.".
he he, good stuff :)
What did he know and when did he know it?
Nah, the clintons'. Even sounds like them.
Also, this might be a good time to purchase stock in companies that produce sun-tan lotion.
Hmm..Time to buy some more sun-blocking/tanning lotion...Concrete, SPF451 should do it. :))
I think you covered ALL the bases.. :))
"The ONLY thing constant is change."
Actually, the things we view or measure or can infer as change are built into our created system, which includes time. God is outside of time and space and His creation in the sense that HE is the only one who is constant- "I the Lord change not"! (Mal.3:6)
This is also from the article; And tell me if this is not one of dumbest sentences you have ever read! John Kerry claiming 'he was for the war before he was against it' is abundantly clear compared to this person's attempt to link global warming to an event sequence on the Sun.
'He says that the increased solar brightness over the past 20 years has not been enough to cause the observed climate changes, but believes that the impact of intense sunshine on the ozone layer and cloud cover could be affecting the climate more than the sunlight itself.'
So how do you take the sun's temperature, and where do you stick the thermometer?
exactly!!
when was the last time the sun had its temp taken? Here in central Texas we are experiencing a very mild summer only in the mid 90's.
Correction:
We all know the warming is because the Sun does not support the Kyoto Treaty.
The Sun is known to be a mild variable star. In fact, probably all stars are 'variable'. You cannot have a dynamic system like a star without some variability.
It is known that the 'Solar Constant' isn't constant; it varies from year to year AND has been increasing slowly since we began measuring it.
No, Sol is not a Cepheid, but it is variable.

My objections are not whether there are numerous technical (there are and measurable) variances in the Sun's temp, fusion ratios, sunspots, electromagnetism, solar flares and a thousand other factors, but how 'alarmists' toss out generalities pretending that they have collected enough data to actually make such predictions. See last sentence in #35!
