Darn, I was trying to find another thread that was talking about this before - swear it! My first post was in fact a question, and not an answer. It went something like..."PC" was the right's answer to the left's rudeness in all things, but the left took it over and is currently killing us with it.
Another reply also referred to Stalinists as originators.
Anyway - the lesson for the right, if we did have a hand in it - don't mess with free speech unless we're willing to reign in the left with a swift and powerful hand.
