I believe so, yes. I think the FF are a bit up Angeles Crest, which is where that station is. (hooboy)

Isn't the Thousand Trails campground right there? I remember taking a picture of a train around there a couple years ago.

I think the power facility is east of this fire....I know which one you are talking about, it is huge, but those lines appear to head over the mountains to San Gabriel?

Hard to believe it was 111 before all this. That's a full 15 degrees higher than here. But maybe.

Aliso Canyon next on the recon mission. ack!

Yeah, that's the one I'm thinking about. It's been a few years since I've been there, I remember watching fires burning in the hills around my home in Agua Dulce when I was young. Nothing quite like what has been happening lately. I was there 2 years ago and noticed just how much more dead brush had accumulated in many areas, the whole area looked like a tinderbox ready to go.

My shooting range is up there (several miles away presently). I haven't been up there this season but the brush was rather dense as I recall.

"We got a 7100! We got a 71!" what does that mean

hey btw I meant to mention.. last night, the Sand Canyon residents who were evacuated eschewed whatever official shelter was and all met and stayed at the In-N-Out parking lot. :-)
