Well, I've read that tripe. I consider it light, but entertaining fiction. It is unfortunate that this young person has never been taught that fiction isn't real.

Can't say I'm surprised. Years ago, I was helping my father install closed circuit TV cable in a large hotel in Philadelphia. There was a Star Trek convention at the hotel, and you had adolescent males with terminal acne running around in that place in full mufti, with weapons and rank insignia. People
do get immersed in their fictional worlds. Not that that's a bad thing ...
