In an interview with the Financial Times, the former US president urged Senator Kerry to fight a values-based campaign focused on health, education and crime. Yep, we're in WWIII, and Bill thinks Kerry should ignore it. Just like he did for eight years.

What does gay marriage and abortion have to do with the war on terror?Uh, dude, Bush is campaigning on gay marriage, abortion AND the war on terror. Clinton basically told Kerry to ignore the war and concentrate on domestic issues.

That isn't how I read it - according to the article Clinton told Kerry to ignore "cultural issues such as abortion, gay marriage, and gun control"

the former US president urged Senator Kerry to fight a values-based campaign focused on health, education and crime. I do not see the war on terror in that laundry list.

Just examine the Kerry voting record on gun control and other "social" issues. That alone should be enough information to make an intelligent choice on who should be president. Because Kerry is silent on those issues makes his deceptive agenda even more dangerous.

Did anyone catch this part:
Mr Clinton strongly endorsed Tony Blair (news - web sites)'s position on disarming Iraq (news - web sites), blaming France and Germany for leaving the British prime minister isolated in his efforts to secure a second United Nations (news - web sites) resolution.

The question haunting Kerry has to be, "Does Bill Clinton want me to win?" Kind of finds Kerry between a rock and hard place.
The problem with Clinton's strategy is that is leaves Kerry nothing to run on. He loses his base and then it's curtins.

Clinton tells Kerry to avoid cultural issues. He then praises Blair for the war on terror. That means kerry can't run on that either. The economy has turned around so Kerry can't use that. Bush signed the largest education bill in history in conjunction with ted kennedy.(something most conservatives aren't exactly happy about) Clinton already solved gun control with all the Brady and Assault Weapons ban legislation. Bush's prescription drug plan for senior citizens protects him from any assaults on him from the health care front.
What exacly is left for Kerry to run on?
