I would call the repeated Satanic imagery that premeates his music to be an avowing of same.

I'm calling in the local Ozzy experts to weigh in.

Bella, you are far more of an Ozzy expert than I.

And as we all know, the "satanic imagery" is mostly in the minds of those who hate him.

I have heard some contradictory things about the Slayer playing on Oz Fest. Some have said its the original, some have said its a different Slayer, and some have said its the original minus Lombardo.

Which is it?

I have no idea why these entertainers put politics into the mix when it is likely to alienate 50% of the fan base

Saw some actor from "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on Fox & Friends this morning. He was also in the movie "Daddy Day Care" and in the new movie "Sleepover". Steve Doocey asked the guy his opinion on Whoopie Goldberg. The actor said he questions why Slimfast hired her in the first place but he added that he was a comedian and it was his job to entertain not to put his two cents about politics.

I would bet the house he was a democrat, being involved with Larry David and co. but he had the sense to say that his politics were not relevant to his public persona.

Quite refreshing.

I LOVE Hatebreed. "Perseverance" is such a kick ass song.

I am really looking forward to seeing Slayer and Judas Priest again, but Black Sabbath just tops it. Last time I saw them in 2001, they were great.

Can't wait for "NIB"...

Ozzy, while having a very rough public persona is a christian man who thanks God and Jesus personally in life and on stage, and wishes Gods blessings upon those attending his concerts.

There's no more "Satanic imagery" in Ozzy or metal in general than in a goat enclosure at the local kids petting zoo.

I think it's the original minus Lombardi... I know it's Araya, King, and Hanneman...

Indeed. He tells his audience at the end of every concert:

"Thank you all, we love you! God bless you!"

"And if you've been drinking or f***ing smoking something, please don't f***ing drive, man!"

Hate Osbourne? What makes you think I hate the guy? I listen to his lyrics and hear words that carry specific and undeniable meanings. These words are directly connected to an angelic being formerly named 'Lucifer', who rebelled against his Maker and was expelled from Heaven.

It is too easy to dismiss someone's objection by labeling them a 'hater'. That's what the PC police try to do on our campuses. Won't wash here.

I'm still going to try to go.

I don't think I'll be buying Lamb of God's new album though...

Is it fair to say you have a stong dislike for Ozzy?

Would you be a fan of a metal band that wrote songs about the Old Testament and took lyrics directly from it?

I agree with everything from your previous post except the sentence I excerpted above. Truly, the Sovereign God did speak creation into existence. You are correct, words do have power and do mean things. However, one must be careful here. The same argument could be used to say that musicians, such as Creed and Evanescence, who have repeatedly denied any belief in Christianity, are Christians because Christian themes pervade their music. Or, one could just as easily say that J.R.R. Tolkien believed in hobbits, because he wrote voluminously on them.

I would ask, my friend, that in the interest of accuracy you use a qualifier such as "in my opinion" or "apparently" when discussing the religious beliefs of others.

Iced Earth's new cd called Glorious Burden is so patriotic and sweeping it is like the american Iron Maiden. Slayer is my favorite though. Tom's vocals are getting a bit strained, but they will always be fantastic.

I am instructed by my Lord and Master, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, to love all men. That means that I would rush to Osbourne's aid, if in a position to do so, as quickly as I would to that of a friend or loved one. As far as liking Osbourne goes, I would have to agree that I do not like him.

"Now is the time for me to rise, wipe the spit from my face, wipe these tears from my eyes. I got to take my life back, let my voice be heard."

Hatebreed has such an empowering postive message. They were by far the crowd favorite.
