After reading the entire article, I realize that nothing actually happened on the flight. Suspicious activity? Perhaps. But the flight went on, landed safely, and nothing untoward happened.

It may have been a dry run. The next flight they take could be the real thing. Don't think it can't happen.

Your casual attitude is not surprising for a resident of Minniescrotum. I would have refused to board the flight--certainly if my children were with me. If, for some reason I neglected to notice the suspicious traveling companions, I would have been overt about my concerns. I would have recruited the assistance of other red-blooded males and joined the group before the front lavatory and insisted that they seat themselves as the pilot had ordered--that their refusal to do so was a violation of FARs and placed the passengers in physical jeopardy. I would have been prepared to jump on the nearest raghead and incapacitate him if necessary.

I don't think they were living in fear of anyone who doesn't look like them. It was the BEHAVIOR that frightened them and made them suspicious. Perhaps the men were playing a joke and trying to look suspicious and then if arrested they could sue. Make sense?
I agree, but the idea that we cannot profile is absurd!
Why didn't the Air-Marshals intervene, made the guys sit down? Another question is how is it that more than one air marshal was on this flight to begin with? Are we sure this is a true story?
Just because "nothing happened" on that flight, doesn't mean we are out of danger. Before 9/11, there were many "practice flights" where the terrorists would go through all the motions on flight to make sure everything would go smoothly. Sounds like a practice flight to me...

9-11 made most of us suspicious of arabs boarding planes as they occasionally take over the aircraft and kill everyone on board, plus thousands in buildings. Their behavior in the air exceeds oafish.
