If a three foot sword is considered an offensive weapon, what would they consider a defensive weapon?
A ban on swords isnt uncommon. If I have a permit, I can carry a concealed .44 magnum handgun in Newport News, Virginia. I can not carry a sword, dirk, Bowie knife, switch blade, throwing stars, Nunchucks ...

Doesn't the 2nd Amendment cover the right to keep and bear ARMS? It doesn't say "guns" or "firearms".

Look up The Offensive Weapons Act in the UK. Bans anything pointy, basically. You can be busted for possession of a Swiss Army knife if it is not directly related to your job and you are either on the job or directly coming or going to work. And if you get caught giving something pointy to a minor, forget it, you'll never see the sky again.
There is even a law banning Combat Knives, which are not defined.

Exactly. You should see my 9-yo. He is something else.
On first read I read yo as yo-yo. Visions of a kid with a stainless steel yo-yo and he knows how to use it! The forward pass would be pretty effective.
