I was thinking of individuals as well. Local Boston news has been discussing some groups that'll be taxing the DNC. This is going to be a heated campaign right up up till the fat lady sings.

Speaking of "outside" influences..Yankees play the Red Sox a series just before the DNC starts..if the Yankees sweep..Beantown will NOT be a happy place..

See, you're assuming Hillary! would be the target, rather than the result, of the hypothetical explosion.

Bawney Fwank might know something about dirty bombs in Boston, and he is said to be fond of Fleet's colonic lavage..

Regarding any sports, Beantown is unhappy. But we're used to losing and don't take it quite so hard anymore. Nobody has the money the Yankees have and we are resigned to their taking the title.

That sounds twisted. How did you become a Sox fan? Are you still in the city?

Excuse me, baseball fans. How did a thread about a scenario for a terrorist attack turn into a baseball discussion? :)

I thought the dirty bumbs were going there in August as promised?
Oh, sorry, read it wrong. I guess it said "Bombs"?

You can stay here. Let's talk about a radioactive baseball brought onto the field by a groundskeeper illegal alien from Somalia. Or, radioactive beer and all the fans glowing by the 7th inning stretch.

Hmmmmmm. What would happen if A-Rod's bat was corked with some C4 and he made contact with a 100mph fastball? If he blew up, would he be charged with an official at bat?

You know, I never thought about it much, but my cousin (whom I thought might have had an original idea for once) was the one with the bright idea. I guess he stole it.
He (Steve) was older than I and had a Renault Dauplin. We'd ride it in the cow pasture and he'd roll the thing over on its side - we'd get out and roll it back over before the oil poured out and go again. What NUTS!!
He also showed me how to use 1 1/4" pump pipe, an M-80, and a D cell battery to make a cannon. The thing would hurl the battery abt 300yds at abt 30 degrees pitch. We learned to shoot the thing at abt 60 degrees and try to let it fall into the pond.

Argh, They are your neighbors!? Well, at least your property value went up. Is it quiet these days?
Giants, huh? I've been ticked off at New York since the Dodgers. They never should have left.

We were discussing the potential mood of Boston depending on whether the Sox win or not.
