Best wishes to your dad, Flyer. My dad had a similar battle with the big "C". I hope your dad fairs better.
Thank you all so much for the prayers and words of comfort.
My Dad is going to really enjoy all the love in the cards y'all send.
There's not a better bunch of folks in the world I could hang out with. Thanks gang!
Dear Wilburn,
May the Lord bless you during this difficult time. Please know that many people are praying for you. Thank you for your service to our country during WWII. My dad served in the Pacific then, too (Pelalu). I want to lift you up in prayer:
Dear God, we praise you because you are mighty and worthy of all praise. We lift up Wilburn to you and ask that you touch him with your healing hand. Please lessen his symptoms, too, and help him to rest comfortably. Please draw him closer to you and to his family during this time. Please help Wilburn to see your hand in this. We ask you to help him feel your big arms wrapped around him. Whenever the right time comes, please let him be ready by getting himself right with you. Thank you for answering our prayers, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Thanks. You have my deepest appreciation.
Wilburn, you are a hero proved in liberating strife. Thank you for helping save the world, and may God grant you comfort and rest.

My prayers are with your Dad. God bless him for serving his country in time of need.
And please tell him that this lady thinks he's the best looking man she's ever seen in a hula skirt!
This thread has brought tears to my eyes.
I absolutely love the photo of your dad in the grass skirt.
It shows a man with an enormous love of life.
Freepmail me his address please.
I am going to church on Sunday come hell or high water and He will definately be the first person on the prayer list.
