I don't belong to the Teachers Union, I'm a substitute. I can say what I want or they don't have a substitute when they need one. I think it's unfair to use union dues for political purposes. They should be using the dues to get better contracts and use the funds to improve teaching skills by co-paying their certification. Young teachers should be angry over this but they are unaware about how their dues being mismanaged. Many are trying to pay off their educational expense that is required for certification. If people want to donate money to a political party then they should send their own money.
