I also think he towed her body out and attached anchors to her while she was still in water

LACI NEW BUSH WEAPON
New York Post ^ | 7/09/04 | DEBORAH ORIN and IAN BISHOP

Posted on 07/09/2004 12:51:41 AM PDT by kattracks

President Bush's campaign yesterday launched a tough new TV ad that blasts John Kerry for voting against the "Laci Peterson law" — which recognizes a fetus as a separate victim when a pregnant woman is violently attacked.
The ad debuts amid the sensational murder trial of Laci Peterson's husband, Scott, as he faces two charges — under a California law — of killing his wife and the unborn son she hoped to name Conner.

It's part of Bush's push to paint Kerry and new running mate John Edwards as "out of the mainstream" liberals. Polls show 80 percent of Americans favor "Laci and Conner's law."

And in a surprising result, two new polls yesterday suggested Kerry isn't getting much, if any, bounce from tapping Edwards. In fact, in the wake of the pick, Bush has opened up a small lead and now tops Kerry by 49 to 45 percent, a new AP-Ipsos poll found.

I am FLABBERGASTED that this dumba$$ ex-juror is STILL being used for commentary. Greta VS should be boycotted. She's useless. I wonder when FOX is going to realize they made a big mistake and fire her butt? I was disappointed when FOX hired her, NOW I'm outraged. Didn't take that long for the real her to emerge did it?

To lawyers like Greta it all about the law and the lawyers...We are interested in truth and justice for the family...

She was adamant that a mistrial should be granted over the duct tape and it wasn't even offered for the truth of the tip, just that they did not give credence to all tips, whether it helped or hurt the case...

Her defense lawyer hat is on at all times...They are not interested in the guilty being found guilty, only in the nitty gritty letter of the defendent's rights being upheld....THAT is what rankles but it is what they do.

I agree. I refused to watch Greta when it was announced that Juror 5 would be on. That guy is mentally challenged and/or infatuated with Scott.

I have loads of questions such as:
*Was Scott in habit of washing the clothes he wore -- but not include any other clothes in the hamper -- as soon as he got home?
*Wouldn't their dog attack anyone who tried to kidnap Laci and create a ruckus?

Shameful doesn't begin to describe it. So, it was only shameful that the Nazi's decided Jews were not human and could be exterminated. The bottom line is we have decided , with no scientific evidence, to categorize certain groups (people in the womb) as non-human who can be killed at the whim of one person. Further, we have decided that as long as the head is in the womb it is still not human and it can be stabbed till it is unable to live. We call ourselves civilized?

He said he washed the clothes he wore to work 2 or 3 times a week because of the chemicals...

One other thing I noticed on a thread about what was in the transcripts..He told Mansfield and Grogan that Laci was mopping the floor when he woke up...This contradicts his testimony about having to get the bucket for her and that she was mopping when he left. Call me confused and wondering why he changed the story?

Interesting observation. Many people get caught in their lies because they forget what they said.

Don't include ME in that group. I believe LIFE, God ordained life, begins at conception. !! I was a nurse. You need to only see a real baby with all parts sitting in a bucket on the floor of the Operating room, STRUGGLING to breath, to clear up any "definition" problems.

IMHO Scott made two trips, taking the body during the first one. If he were caught there before midnight he had a license for the 23rd & 24th.

Today on Crier a private investigator, I believe, testified that it would have been extremely difficult and hazardous for Laci to have gone to the park in view of the rocky terrain.

You'll never see those kinds of scenes on any tv news show. They have no problem showing men getting their heads cut off by terrorists because it is "news." But, never, ever ask them to show any footage of an abortion. They know what the effects would be and it goes against their agenda.

Once, (if they're allowed to) the prosecution brings up Scott's interviews, will they be able to use a body language expert in as a witness? I know, that sounds stupid, but I'm just wondering. He really gives himself away.

LOL. Hi Jackie, I'm back. Was working in another county for a couple days and stayed two nights.

Late at night I would finally get a chance to see some cable, but I waited in vain for anything more than a 2-sentence update on the case... it would say something like, "Jurors viewed pictures of the bodies of Laci and Connor Peterson." Well, duh, I already knew that!

The site websleuths has a tidal chart showing the tides for Dec. 23-24 for the Bay. I think it showed the tide going out sometime in the wee hours of Dec. 24. The person who posted it postulated that maybe Scott was checking the tides for that area (which he reportedly did do, according to his computer) in order to see when the tide went out--perhaps for the purpose of dropping the body in when the tide would (he hoped) wash it out.

Since it is thought that the body was weighted, though, that must have complicated the calculations.

How would the "satanic cult" know where to find the watch?

Not only that, but there is evidence that the Croton watch once owned by Laci was given a value of $750. It had diamonds. Whereas, according to the pawn ticket Geragos is waving around (which allegedly shows where a Deanna Renfro pawned a Croton watch), that watch had no diamonds, had scratches, and was in the end pawned for $20.

And of course we're just supposed to ignore the fact that there is no known connection btw Deanna Renfro and Donnie and Mary Renfrow, the two innocent people Geragos seems to be trying to frame (along with Deanna) for this murder. Some champion of justice, him!

Could the relative be helping the prosecution?

So a man who knows he's about to be accused of killing his wife and baby wouldn't lie, but some twice-removed relative of a woman and baby (who won't be coming back no matter what happens at trial) WOULD lie?

Yeah, sure.

Meanwhile, Geragos continues his efforts to frame three people for this murder b/c THEY don't have money, whereas his client does.

In my opinion, McDonald killed his family. There were greeting cards still standing up on the table in the room where he claimed a life-or-death struggle had taken place with "hippies". His collapsed lung was determined to have been self-inflicted. There was a TIME magazine in McDonald's home which had a detailed account of the Manson murders, and which showed signs that someone had marked that story in the mag.

All was not well btw McDonald and his wife, in part b/c of McDonald's cheating on her.

Jeffrey McDonald's pajama fibers were found in his daughter's room, on or almost on her dead body. They were also found in other telltale places.

Later, McDonald and his counsel zeroed in on a drug-addicted, schizophrenic woman who was defenseless, and cajoled her into saying things which they said made it look like she was "the woman in the floppy hat." This was done b/c it was all they could do at the time to save McDonald's sorry a*s.

McDonald was possibly flying on speed and this caused dramatic changes in his mood and behavior. Persons high on that stuff have been known to act in very extreme ways.

McDonald treated his in-laws terribly. Among other things, he refused to give them a transcript of his first hearing, even while promising repeatedly to give it to them. He also told them a tall tale about having supposedly killed "one of the hippies" who he said had killed his family. I'm glad his wife's step-father kept on trying. He was a true hero.

There's more, bu I will simply say that in my opinion, McDonald is a sorry sack of excrement whose only thought has ever been to protect his own sorry behind.

I am sure you will come back like gangbusters; I don't care. McDonald is one of the murderers who most repels me. If he now regrets the whole thing and wants to go back to square one, TOUGH. It gives me great pleasure to think that he is in prison, and that he currently can't get out. GOOD.

Glad they had a pregnant woman handy! Whoever she is, she's a heroine for doing that! It must've given her the creeps.
