ROTFLMAO!!! If you're not already, you two should be getting paid by the Kerry campaign!
You misunderestimate the Vice President. Vice President Cheney is no slingshot, not by a long shot, more like the behind scenes Sledge Hammer!!!!:-)
Hillary knows how to "work" such situations and "bend" public opinion her way. Condi is great in what she does, but doesn't have the manipulation abilities Hillary has honed over the past twenty years of clawing, backstabbing, and manipulating her way to the point of being selected as the running mate to the presidency of the United States.
Hillary Clinton has enormous appeal because of her symbolic value, NOT due to her actual abilities as a campaigner or a speaker. In fact, she is not very bright or quick in an open conversation.
Hillary has run for one office in an overwhelmingly liberal environment. She is notoriously bad when the questions aren't scripted which is why she avoids anything-goes interviews like the plague. Condi has been in the pressure cooker at least as much as Hillary and if you remember her responding to Brokaw live on camera you know she can handle herself in a tense exchange, and she puts sentences together without the constant "uh, uh" of Hillary trying to think on her feet.
In fact, I bet if you put HC in an open debate with aggressive questioners she would show her inner witch.
But who cares? What average Mexican, Black, liberal or borderline voter on the street cares if Cheney is a sledgehammer?
You're right.
ReptHillary, Hillarrhea,....keep your buckets of water ready for this foul witch!
I'm so excited I could damn near sh**, think I will.
hehe . . July 6th is going to be hilarious, eh?
Birds of a feather......
Hillary flip flopping on her promise to stay for the full senate term.....
It matters not. The tune sung will
be the same, either way. Bush is
problematical already with many
trueblue Conservatives. Cheney is
their strong anchor who validates
Bush. I wouldn't sit home if Bush
dumps Cheney, but a fair # would.
Add even more dropouts who turn
angry at Cheney's replacement pick
who's likely a RINO.
You assume that a Bush-RINO ticket
against VP Hillary would gain more
than would be lost. That means a
lot of non-GOPers would be voting
FOR the RINO VP, not for Bush. It
means a lot of the angry Base do
not really intend to sit out, they
merely threaten it.
Neither of the above ring true,
from all I have seen in politics.
Only one scenario stands scrutiny.
If Cheney were to withdraw for a
genuine reason, & his replacement
did not seriously anger the Right,
but could draw non-GOPers. If not,
then Bush is toast either way by
our combined logic.
I smile in saying that, believe
me.
B/c IMO Bush-Cheney CAN WIN,
even if it's Hillary.
He'd best watch his back real close if the worst happens.
Over at the DUmmie forum they are saying that all this Hillary Veep talk is nothing but leaks from Karl Rove to make Kerry look like an idiot. Imagine their surprise if Kerry does pick Hillary!
I dunno. You've worked it into quite the thread here.
Won't Kerry lose all the South no matter who he chooses?
Lord have mercy! :-D
Someone didn't see the Hillary/Lazio debate.
Good morning Ivan,
Being in the DEEP South, I can assure you that the dims have no chance here at all. It's just media spin. The dim politicians that exist here constantly RUN from their national party. The South is largely conservative, and will continue to be so.
No worries mate!

Excellent and accurate observation.
And the selection of a Vice Presidential candidate normally wouldn't play the role or carry the weight that it would in such an instance as when you have a very weak candidate for president who desperately needs a strong running mate.
In this case, it would be Hillary Clinton - when identified with her husband - "The First Black President" instantly become the first choice of liberals, minorities, and borderline voters everywhere.
It's a crucial decision for Kerry to find the right combination to "upstage" Bush's victory in Iraq over Saddam and Hillary very well could be his only shot at doing it. At least in the minds of those Hillary could sway into voting for a Kerry/Hillary ticket.
I'd heard a rumor that Kerry was going to choose a closeted lesbian communist shrew to be his running mate. So it couldn't be Hillary.
I don't see it that way at all. Clinton, despite the fawnings in the media, will only get votes from the liberal left, already lost. The so-called "swing" or "middle" voters will flee from her.
This, if true, which I doubt, is good for us.
Landslide in '04. Believe it.
