If it is any consolation, judges in Texas (or at least Houston) are permitted to drink while on the bench (at least for "medicinal" purposes).

As far as her ignoring her marital duties as another poster speculated, BULL! It wouldn't have mattered whether she did or not. Think about serial rapists and men who are into child pornography, for instance. No wife could satisfy those urges. The same with this judge.

The news story is about the judge, NOT the wife. When I got on here and saw the HORRIBLE things you were saying about her, that is when I contacted her. You were blaming her husband's crime on HER. Are you sobered up YET? or do you stay at home and drink ALL DAY?

Here you are on the FreeRepublic promoting this thread in the midst of their tragedy - you're being very cold and cruel to his wife and you're blind to it. No empathy at all for them, either one of them. You claim to know the wife, is this how you treat your friends? I don't mind being an enemy in your eyes, it looks as if you treat those you know with contempt. If you really are married I pity your husband since he's sharing his life with a woman lacking any trace of empathy for others.
This Judge's crime is more in the order of a Pee Wee Herman than an exhibitionist or rapist. More embarrassing and sad than any thing else aside from the neglect of duties issue. From reading the documents on the case, he apparently thought he was concealing his activities. According to the papers of the case, the visual witness saw through a crack in the desk. I don't expect any analysis from you though, your posts are illogical emotional non sequiturs. Not that any of the details make a bit of difference to you. You've got something to gossip about - you can't let go and avoid sensationalizing this husband's and wife's pain - after all you know them personally.

I've posted more than my share of jokes about this guy, mostly on an earlier thread, but since then I've been mulling it over. It seems to me that whether the judge's wife was taking care of things at home or not, there's just no way that she should be blamed for this. Not even if she strongly suspected that he was seriously disturbed, which I assume was the case. Ever since there have been men and women in this world, there have been plenty of relationships where one party or the other wasn't satisfied. The traditional solution, other than divorce, is to either take a lover, or -- shall we say -- to work out a more solitary remedy. No one in the history of the universe has ever been "caused" by an unhappy marriage to go out and be a public pumper. This judge is in a class all by himself, and he has only himself to blame. He deserves all the jokes and disgrace that he has brought upon himself. The wife is an unfortunate victim of his lunacy.
Where is the posting that says his wife is to blame for his actions? I stated:

How did that turn in to blaming the wife for the perverted behavior? I was pointing out to that men need sex on a regular basis in marriage. Often in marriage when the man is sexually frustrated he may turn to pornography or other perversions to fill that void. I said I wouldn't be surprised if she neglected her husband sexually because since the on-set of feminism women have grown callous towards the sexual needs of men (and I mean in marriage) and assume men feel a need for sex in the same way that women feel sexual.
The Judge is a Democrat, I assume his wife may be a Democrat as well and she's most likely liberal and a feminist. My intent was for some consideration or discussion about this point of view, in no way did I blame the wife for causing her husband to take the course of behavior he had. If he had chosen to commit suicide it would still have been his fault entirely.
If she is truly a loving wife, I mean in love with that man, I doubt if she sees him as a pervert let alone a criminal as many here refer to him as. I may be making a mistake believing that they actually love each other, after all it may be more of a business arrangement than a marriage.
