I'm sure the Brits have ferals - they do get loose, and some domestic pigs can be VERY cagey about being caught again.

The whole point of ferals is that they are NOT wild boars - they are escapes and the descendants of escapes. They revert back to type fairly quickly, within a few generations.

And if you saw the typical farm pig on some hardscrabble Southern farm, you'd be hard put to distinguish it from the ferals!

My little Lab caught a similarly equipped large male squirrel in our back yard. He just THOUGHT he was tough.
