Essentially his "philosophy" is little more than a childish attempt at pretending that rejection didn't hurt. Rilke handled his dropping by Lou in finer form. He went off to a tree crotch overlooking the Adriatic, fell into trance, and envisioned the Duino Elegies.
Yes but I have a very high regard for this thinking.
No getting around the fact that he may rank in the top tier.
