I watched our ABC affiliate in D/FW last night (I know, I know, but the satellite TV was downstairs at the time) and this usually reliable movie critic Gary Coghill gave it a great review. I was flabbergasted. Time to fire off a letter.

The Left have Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11/
Consvs... have Mel Gibson's Passion.
NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERANCE.... they were so down on MEL but where is the outrage on Moore. Beats the heck out of me. :(

A film this lopsided about Bill Clinton, Jack Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson would be just as offensive. But because of "Fahrenheit's" topicality and intended urgency on matters such as national security and the war in Iraq, it could be interpreted as an act of sedition.!

"Bowling for Columbine," IIRC wasn't a documentary either - more propaganda - simply a different focus for the filmmakers hatred.

He juxtaposes a shot of a seemingly clueless Britney Spears supporting the war with a shot of a distressed Iraqi woman wailing.I love it. He uses a young single woman, a Pop icon, in a sleazy abusive manner. His movies count on the unthinking loyalty of youthful narcicism and he abuses the little girl star who has currently cornered the market on it. Good move. This is the C-4 vest on MM's crockumentary.

Does anybody see a trend here .. a trend toward people being repulsed by Moore's screed, instead of joining in it ..??
