Hopefully Monica's next conquest is of better character.

That shouldn't be difficult.

You are correct. She was in love with hiim and thought that he felt the same way. Go back and read some of her testimony. It made me even angrier at him.

Additionally, her MOTHER apparently has no character, either. Remember that she consulted with her mother about what to wear! Her mother knew about the situation and instead of counseling her to get out of the White House and look for another job, she was telling her what to wear to look good for Bubba!

Monica was wrong in what she did, but there was NO ONE around to tell her to shape up, except for Linda Tripp, whom she vilified for her efforts.

Monica is a pathetic person, and will probably lead a sad and lonely life, unless she finds God and some decent friends. Her family sure is no help.

"Come and listen to a story 'bout a man named Jed........."

Man, I can't get the sound of banjos out of my head when I think of these people. I hope this is the last two-term occupancy of our White House by clampets.

The question that comes to mind is why she gave this interview to a Brit TV station..and not a US one..I mean, any of the cable nets would have given her an hour in prime time, and a sympathetic interviewer..and the big three would have killed to have her on.....so why over there, and "mum's the word" here?

One of the biggest moral failures in this was the Bernard Lewinsky's inability to call the man who'd seduced his foolish daughter the cad he was. In his national TV interview (w/ Barbara Walters?), Lewinsky gushed over Clinton because he was "good for the Jews" (as if) and smeared Ken Starr and Linda Tripp, even as Team Clinton was peddling the "nut or slut" character assassination about his daughter.

What Bernard Lewsinsky should have said was,"I don't excuse everything my daughter has done, but I'd like to punch Bill Clinton in the nose for what he did and is doing to Monica. If the President or the Secret Service has a problem with that, they all know where to find me."

Even if it caused him legal problems -- and that's debatable -- Dr. Lewinsky would have shown his daughter that he valued and cherished her and was afraid of no man and nothing in protecting her. It's critical that a daughter know that.

But the starstruck Bernard Lewinsky didn't value his daughter, and Monica never learned to value herself, which is why she has ended up as she has.

last two-term occupancy of our White House by clampets.

If some strumpet walked in his office-barn and exposed her underwear to Jed he would have escorted her directly to the front door. In the basics, Jed Clampet would have showed far better judgement than Bill Clinton.

Monica has learned the lesson of what happens to the whores of both sexes who get into bed with the Clintoons!

Sabertooth, I never thought I could learn anything new from that sordid affair. This is a brilliant insight that I never read anywhere else.

"Did she want him to say that he did it because she was such a wonderful person, that the force of her personality and character blew him away into true love"

How about this instead: "Did she want him to say that . . . she . . . blew him away into true love."

I have always thought of Bill Clinton as the Tonya Harding of presidents.

Oops, I blew it myself! Meant to change it to: "Did she want him to say that . . . she . . . blew him . . . into true love"

Monica ought to be suing Blumenthal for describing her as a stalker.

Shouldn't we be suing Hillary for blaming all Bill's bimbos on the Vast Right Wing Conspiracies?

I don't recall the VRWC having Clinton's DNA! Bill Clinton is the sole distributor of his DNA!

"Dear God, they're exchanging blows again."

Not True. According to the Starr Report, it was a one-way relationship. Clinton was adament that it was better to receive than give.

In fact, that was how it was obvious she was telling the truth even before the DNA. If she was lying, she would either say they made love, or it was reciprocal -- she wouldn't complain that she got nothing out of her "work".

Excellent insight, Saber. I had forgotten about Dr. Lewinsky's gushing over Clinton. I was focussed on the mother, I guess, because I view the world from that perspective.

I think both parents didn't value her, and chased fame and fortune instead. That is a very sad way for a girl to grow up.

You have insulted the Clampets.
Although backwards, they were people of principal. Jed came across his good fortune honestly.

The Clintons have no moral fibers in their bodies, none the less in their self serving actions. They have stolen and killed to get everything they have.

I wasn't being critical of you. I just wanted to state once again that the man didn't even have the decency to get her off. I mean, you get a hummer, the very least you should do is ring the doorbell.

Hate to put it so crudely, but it's tough to avoid when discussing this discusting man who once, shamefully, was POTUS.

When one becomes a cigar humidor, one can not expect to be treated with respect. Hopefully Monica's next conquest is of better character.

Blah, blah, blah... I know Monica did bad things, but those things should never have become part of the public record. I wouldn't absolve her of her reponsibility for a second, but it should be remembered that she was seduced by a man who is known for seducing people. He seduced almost half of an entire country's population. Her lack of character may have contributed to her being sucked in by the guy, and her proximity to him made her a target in the first place. The fault lies entirely with the one who puts himself first before all others.

I think she is being punished enough for any transgressions she may have committed. She makes no money from the story, she designs handbags that probably don't bear her name because noone would buy them on creative merit alone, she will probably never be married to someone who honestly loves her, and people refer to her as a humidor. Womens' organizations who exist to champion causes such as hers don't defend her, she gets no payola from the former chief executive, and people call her fat.

I feel sorry for the poor girl. Don't be so harsh with her.
