I'm guessing that they will conclude that this is Bush's fault and more money will fix it. The answer is school vouchers, so students who want to learn can go to non-government schools where they will be taught by non-union teachers who want to teach.

There is one and only one reason for this.
We aren't spending enough on education.
Why all one has to do is ask a politician or a union official and they will tell you the same thing.
I used to believe that spending more always helped, however now I believe I'll have another beer, and before I go to bed I'll pea it away.
Tomorrow I think I'll drink tap water and save money and flushes.
I wish I could say the same for my tax burden tomorrow.

The answer is school vouchers Disagree. With outofwedlock births at 70%, the answer is the one Bill Cosby commented on recently. Two parents caring about their children's education, and encouraging them to do their homework, not dissing them for being whitey if they try to do well in school.
A black education specialist came into an affluent black neighborhood school system a year or two ago to find out why their kids weren't doing as well as white kids. And they wouldn't believe him after he studied the situation and then told them that it was because they didn't model valuing education and help the kids with their homework.
Money wouldn't help, vouchers wouldn't help, Bush can't help either. They need to get married before they have kids and both parents need to be involved with the kids' schools.

IIRC, I believe that the final drop-out rate for the Kansas City, MO school district is roughly 50%... That only 1/2 of the students who enter high school actually graduate in KCMO.
And that's after a federal judge forced the state and federal governments to spend BILLIONS (not a typo) on the school district, because it was "too segregated." After 25+ years, the district is still segregated, and test scores had dropped to the point where the district actually lost their state accreditation!
It's been a few years since then, and to the best of my knowledge, the district hasn't regained its accreditation. Which means that no college in the country has to accept a KCMO school district high school diploma.

The final data is not in for the years 2001-2003,Any business in America is forced to give results at least once a year to the IRS. You would think something as basic as a Dropout rate would be able to be reported at the end of every MONTH, not three to four years later. These people are incompetent and need to be replaced with a system that has a chance of working.

Let's see. I went to a city high school. Our freshman class was around 1300. Our graduating class was 361. That was in 1987 in Michigan.

Liberal atheist culture devoid of the values of our founders....is suicide...of course this is exactly what the social Darwinists have been working toward...
The ACLU vowed to get God out of America ..her schools and institutions...
In their black little heart of hearts the liberal social engineers aren't even really trying to see their 'theories' validated
(if that were true they would have admitted defeat years ago)....they continue to throw (other people's) tax payer dollars after theories and policies that simply don't work..that never have ..never will...they cant even cook the books fast enough or throughly enough to hide the putrid fruit of their labor....
Once the societal rewards of the ruined lives of unproductive citizens (and the largest prison population in the world)
really sinks in...perhaps then enough of them will recant their positions...and lobby for real schools giving real education in the things that matter......(fat chance)
Real Skills and Real Morals...for Real Jobs and Real life..... Reading Writing Arithmetic & God...are the building blocks of such things
and in the end keep a culture a nation viable and afloat..... The liberals ought to be celebrating this....it's what they have been working for and lobbying for so long...congradulations libs....savor your victory over the lives of those you swore to protect...you ruined them but good....
imo

As for vouchers, I pose the question of what if:
A muslim charter school opens up in your ( or anyones' )neighborhood?
Pandora box?
unexepected consequences?
Maybe a hard call!

When you're competing with every politician's darling, uneducated illegal aliens, for entry level jobs, you can't waste time in school.
