Some of those 68yr olds can be pretty scrappy. I had one pull a bedpan on me once. Very scary.

Can someone really be cited for honking?
Typical cop attitude.

Bacon is my insurance agent, and he can testify that in our long personal and professional association, I have received untold numbers of tickets . . . but NEVER one for honking.
I assume that's because my other violations are so egregious, writing me up for honking would be like writing up Christina Aguilera for too much eye makeup.

All the police lovers on here will be saying she deserved it.. how dare she honk her horn then passively resist an Officer of the Law????? I guess being tasered is better than what happened to the young man in my neck of the woods (San Joaquin Valley), who was handcuffed in the back seat of the police cruiser for "disturbing the peace", then shot to death by a female police officer who meant to grab her taser... but hey, he deserved it right? He shouldn't have breathed I guess....

We'll see more of these. Taser (TASR ticker) has been selling the guns like hot potatoes

You bet. I got a ticket for unnecessary use of emergency equipment when I hit my horn once(It was MP in the Corps. Go figure).

Can someone really be cited for honking? It would appear so.
Actually they can pretty much write you up for just about anything.
Typical cop attitude.
Yep. Just SOP for cops nowdays.
Can't wait for the jackboot-lickers to come onboard and explain how this 68 year old woman deserved it.

Bottom line IMO: Unless the policeman had reasonable cause to suspect she had a weapon she was about to use, this is utterly inexcusable. LOTS of 68-year-olds are heart patients for whom tasing could cause serious harm.

Cops lie. Reflexivly. All the time. If I saw someone doing that to my wife. I'd just stroll over and calmly see what the matter is. After I spilt the goon's skull open with a rifle bullet. Then I'd pull the dead goon's pants down and call him a rapist. No you wouldn't. You'd scream like a little girl and wet your pants while hiding behind your husband.

"to suspect she had a weapon she was about to use"Hellofa standard you got there, MississippiMan. If the suspect is about to use a weapon, the cop may use the Taser.
When can the cop pull his gun -- after he's shot?
To: Stew Padasso
Jones' husband, Fred, heard the commotion in his home of 40 years and confronted the officer. Husband and wife were both arrested and jailed.
Over honking a horn? This new cop needs to find a new line of work or take intensive anger management courses. Talk about turning a mole hile into a mountain, this cop has it down.

Not a goddamn thing funny about it. Anyone doing that to my wife would be dead. period. More cops should die in a pool of their blood, brains, and whatever donuts turn into in their fat guts for doing that to people.
