I must be. I don't read those magazines in the check-out lanes.
Pathetic attempt at a put down.
I read those stories here on Free Republic.
You just continue to delude yourself.
OH! OUCH! I mean, like, ouch.
ouch ouch ouch...
(did I say ouch?) I've been STRUCK THROUGH THE HEART!
I retire.
In shame.
I only wish to spend my final moments with my loyal, smelly hounds. They do not see my humiliation.
You know, I don't doubt that this kind of problem exists in religious circles, but I would highly doubt that religion is the nexus of child molestation. I'd just be guessing, but it wouldn't suprise me that the religious affiliation was incidental but used to narrow the focus and cast blame on religious people.
As a barometer, how does one square that with the findings TIME magazine published a few years ago that found the greatest sexual happiness was found in religious marriages? Further, it is known that the majority of gays have been victims of molestation. In turn, molesters tend to molest.
Putting it all together, is seems to me that statistics are saying that the greatest happiness one could find is to be a religious gay in a heterosexual marriage while molesting children on the side...
I must tell you that in my experience, the people that I've known that have been molested, did come from very religious homes. One of my friends uncle's who molested him was an elder in the church. His father who was a deacon used to masterb*** in front of him. Most came from Southern Bible belt backgrounds where it is common to put on a face at church that you have a perfect family and "everything is fine"....you never discuss problems or difficulties or "anything unpleasant"....it leads to people having double lives because there is no healthy outlet for them to talk about their feelings.
