Words follow that were played to the music, "Jerusalem"

O LOVE OF GOD, HOW STRONG AND TRUE

O love of God, how strong and true!
Eternal, and yet ever new;
Uncomprehended and unbought,
Beyond all knowledge and all thought.

O love of God, how deep and great!
Far deeper than man’s deepest hate;
Self fed, self kindled, like the light,
Changeless, eternal, infinite.

O heavenly love, how precious still,
In days of weariness and ill,
In nights of pain and helplessness,
To heal, to comfort, and to bless!

O wide embracing, wondrous love!
We read thee in the sky above,
We read thee in the earth below,
In seas that swell, and streams that flow.

We read thee best in Him Who came
To bear for us the cross of shame;
Sent by the Father from on high,
Our life to live, our death to die.

We read thy power to bless and save,
E’en in the darkness of the grave;
Still more in resurrection light,
We read the fullness of thy might.

O love of God, our shield and stay
Through all the perils of our way!
Eternal love, in thee we rest
Forever safe, forever blest.

I used the cyberhymnal.org search to get the words, however, the tune playing at below link is "Brookfield", not "Jerusalem".

if you would like to hear it, the below link plays the music, "Jerusalem" ...

http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/j/e/r/jerusalem.htm

[however keep in mind that the words at Pres. Reagan's funeral that went with this tune were from the hymn

O LOVE OF GOD, HOW STRONG AND TRUE

-- see my previous post]

The song "Mansions of the Lord" was sung by The Armed Forces Chorus with The U.S. Marine Chamber Orchestra, at Ronald Reagan's funeral service in Washington DC.

The same song was played at the end of the movie "We Were Soldiers". That version was sung by The West Point Glee Club. You can download a .mp3 file (2.02 MB) of it at the following link. Below the text lyrics, you'll see a rectangular button with DSL on it and [2.02 MB] beside it. Click the button to download.

Hahahahaha....

Check out this thread I started last week.

The hymn I was asking about was "Jerusalem," but in the course of the thread I discovered "Mansions of the Lord," both of which I have WMVed on my company's website...look for the links in the thread...

There is a nice memorial website for Reagan at
http://www.ronaldreaganmemorial.com/photo_gallery.asp as the Mansions of the Lord and other music from We Were Soldiers plays as photos of the Reagan's funeral are shown and it is really nice.

And another great Reagan site is here:
