From your link in #19:

"In Spokane County, donations in the past year have been overwhelmingly Republican, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. County residents have poured more than $1 million into election races, with 81 percent of the money going to Republicans and just 19 percent to Democrats."

http://www.boston.com/news/politics/president/articles/2004/06/14/bush_kerry_back_on_campaign_trail/

"The president delivers an economic speech Thursday to the National Federation of Independent Business in suburban Washington. On Friday, he'll address troops at Fort Lewis, Wash., and supporters at a campaign rally in Reno, Nev."

Lousy AP creeps don't even mention Spokane, of course.

The actual meeting place and time will be determined on Wednesday night. I'll post them here as soon as I get home from the meeting.

New info from KREM-TV:
President Bush will be landing at Fairchild Air Force Base on Thursday afternoon. A presidential motorcade will then bring him to the Spokane Convention Center where he will attend a campaign fundraising dinner for U.S. Representative George Nethercutt, who is running for the U.S. Senate.

Monday, the Fairchild base confirmed that the president's plane will be landing and departing from the base. He is scheduled to shake hands with members of the Air Force and their families. The public will not be allowed on the base to greet the president upon his arrival.

The city of Spokane wants people to be aware that the presidential motorcade to and from the convention could shut down various streets for security purposes. The routes will not be released in advance.

However, city officials told KREM 2 News to expect parts of Interstate 90 to the Spokane Falls Boulevard to be shut down for the motorcade. for a brief time Thursday afternoon and late Thursday night.

I assume the rally site will be somehwere downtown, since the motorcade route is not being released.
