Byron Sher? What's that Commonist still doin in the State Senate???
He shoulda termed out years ago!!! His slogan for the Sierra in the early Clinton years, was... "Mining Free by '93!"
Doesn't he represent your Senate district, Carry_O???

Doesn't he represent your Senate district, Carry_O???Nope. Our assemblyman makes Sher look like a Bircher. We've got John Laird, from the People's Republic of Santa Crux.

Ok then... See #17, above. So your Assemblyman and mine are the two competing to make Schwarzenegger a happy Austrian by Socializing the Sierra-Nevada with a state run Conservacancy!!! What does he think this is? The Bavarian Alps??? What a "Ship of Fools" this state is turning into!!!

Those bills may be dead. If the committee doesn't report on them by June 25th they are dead. They are not currently on the calendar. Everybody pray and send an email.

The 22 is the only day I see for the committee to consider bills and none of the ones we have been watching are listed. Course they may sneak something in but so far so good.

I am going to call the capitol again tomorrow and again posit the question, why does the governor want this legislation? If you all have the time or the inclination, I suggest you do to. One thing I have learned, a single citizen asking the right questions can slow or halt bad political behavior.
And, no matter how they answer this question, it will give us a very good idea of what to expect the rest of this governor's term.
