I knew about the double amputee part, and I think I remember hearing about him being a doctor. But I did not know he was an equestrian! Could explain why he was asked to sing at the Belmont, huh? (Well, other than his great singing, of course!)
(I know, I know..."equestrian" is not the same as thoroughbred racing...)
