Ronan Tynan is ABSOLUTELY the best Irish singer EVER. The PERFECT choice to sing at the Reagan funeral. I don't what song he will be singing but if he sings "The Town That I Lived In" I guarantee there won't be a dry eye in either the live or TV audience.

But what are his politics? We have to have a QUOTA, you know........if he's a Republican, we'll have to have a Democrat DO something.
(And no, kiss my butt isn't one of the options!)

Snicker. You're feeling your oats. I was afraid you'd let yourself slide too deeply into grief.
You know our beloved President Reagan wouldn't want us to despair, like those who have no faith.

He is great. Love to hear him sing "God Bless America" at Yankee Stadium during the post-season. He's the only one who ever sings the first verse.

He's great, but he butchered NY NY at the Belmont though.

Wednesday and Friday are going to be hard days.
We all need to help each other get through it all.
But if this man sings, it's gonna hurt.

Love to hear him sing "God Bless America" at Yankee Stadium during the post-season. Actually, he did it at 2 games last week during the 7th inning stretch. I guess they like him so much that they like bringing him back as often as he can make it.

No great disagreement on that. But have you heard John McCormick? Or, if you can tolerate the occasional Scottish tune, Kenneth MacKellar (see Amazon)?
And, of course, there's always the marvelous small movie "Hear My Song".
And bring back John McDermott.

Well, today I'm mad.......LOL. Between Clinton whining and Kerry going to the library, I managed to dig deep and found some rage. :-)

Can you believe Clinton wanting "equal time" for him and Carter because it's a tax-payer funded state funeral? Nancy should tell them they were considered, but she decided against having them hand out cigars and peanuts.

Meaning no disrespect to the others but Ronan Tynan has always been the BEST of the Three Irish Tenors, whomever they are.

I think that Clinton should speak I'm sure that Peggy Noonan could craft an appropriate sentiment.

He's great, but he butchered NY NY at the Belmont thoughI really don't think he was a great choice to do "New York, New York" at the Belmont Stakes. The song is not really his style.
But as someone else on the thread mentioned, if he does something like "The Town I'm From" or whatever..."Danny Boy," etc., it will be one emotional moment, I'm sure!

"I guarantee there won't be a dry eye in either the live or TV audience."Wanna bet? Other than the croc (squeezed out) tears of X42, eyes will be dry on the Left.
To: Howlin
"But what are his politics?"Just listen to him singing "God Bless America." That should answer your question, Howlin.
To: Blagden Alley
Got to agree with you about McCormack.

The Town I Loved So Well.
Ronan is double amputee, gold medal equestrian rider and a medical doctor.
He has the sweetest Irish Tenor I have ever heard!
