This is awesome news.
The headline actually should have read: Black WOMAN conservative.
That's even more of a poke in the eye to the Moo-slums.

Wasn't the assassinated PM also a homosexual-rights activist, who warned about the growing Islamic influence in the Netherlands and its effect on "gay rights?" I know he was portrayed as a right-winger for being "intolerant" of immigrants, but does anyone know the whole story?
It will be interesting to see how things play out in the US - will the left demand "tolerance" towards "intolerant" immigrants?

"Ayaan Hirsi Ali is especially critical of the lack of tolerance for dissenting opinions among Muslims,..."
"Two years ago, she had to hide out in the US for months and these days she is accompanied by bodyguards when in public."
And people wonder why muslims don't speak out against the radicals? Or why they don't attend rallies against radicals/terrorists.

I know he was portrayed as a right-winger for being "intolerant" of immigrants, but does anyone know the whole story? If memory serves, the late Fortuyn would have been more of a libertarian in this country if anything.
The party that both he and Hirsi Ali belong to are akin to a more classicly libertarian mindset (i.e., economic/military conservatism, but more moderate in terms of social issues; though Hirsi Ali, as this piece points out, is far more conservative when it comes to the "religion of peace").

He was Gay, and he was for reforming the welfare system. He also feared the impact of Islamic immigrants who don't assimilate and bring theocratic ideas with them. He was killed by an animal rights extremist.

"(Radical) Muslims are incapable of self-reflection. Consequently, any critical remark is perceived as an offense."
Very true. Radical Muslims presume to instruct the rest of the world about Allah, yet they are themselves utterly lacking in self-understanding. Ultimately, it is their own ultra-sensitive egos that they worship, not to mention their own (Arab) race. The whole cult of Mohammed is nothing but the Arab male's institutionalized self-worship.

I sometimes wonder about the moonbats here and whether they'd resort to violence to maintain their stranglehold on the minds of black America, if they were ever faced with a substantial challenge to their mentality of collective victimhood.
I think they already do.

Does she have dual citizenship? Nigeria is in a world of hurt because of sharia being instituted in the northern states, and it's only going to get worse. I have indirect contact with missionaries there and things are getting very ugly for all non-Muslims.
While her voice of reason is certainly needed in Europe, it may be even more needed in Nigeria. Unfortunately, her life is going to be in constant jeopardy in Europe or in Africa.

The "Honorable Elijah Muhammed" fits this bill nicely. Rumor has it that he was behind the murder of Malcom X.

I don't know exact numbers, but I'd guess a relatively small portion.
