Cape Canaaveral back on Cape KennedyAlready been done. Years ago (early 80s?). I believe at the request of the Kennedy family. It is the Kennedy Space Center located at Cape Canaveral.

Ah, OK. That must have been the same time it was
suggested that it would be better for All to only ping the people who had already posted on that thread only.
That must not have been implemented, but it would be a great feature, IMO. It might have had a downside, particularly for long threads, but it would have been handy in cases like this one.

Just as long as he does not try to rename a "Lewinsky" back to a BJ.

"It's on his home page. He says the Reagan name was "crammed down our throats.""
And, today - in every democratically controlled major city, and many small and medium cities - the name "Martin Luther King" is everywhere. Streets, avenues, librarys, schools, parkways, and museums. I don't think the "people" get all that much say in those namings. Or, the recent renaming of the Atlanta airport from "Hartsfield", to "Jackson-Hartsfield" after the first black mayor, named Jackson. I didn't see that one come up for a vote either.
Everybody write moron (Moran) and ask him this question, "Are you still beating your wife...or is it only when you're drunk?".

Yah. As you can see I thought better of it even before I posted. After I hit POST I regretted it at once. Sorry I went of on you the way I did.
I have a visceral reaction to Moran (and most other dims... as well as a few RINOs [McCain, Specter] and quite a few European pols [Chirac, Schroeder]..... calm down now... take a chill pill... there that's better).
I'm far too willing to embrace the non-dim I don't know over the dim I know all to well (for my own health, apparently).
Given time to get to know some of them I will grant them their due. Harold Ford Jr., though I disagree with most of his policy stances, I actually believe is an honest and honorable man. I would vote for him if I lived in his district (I'm one away) since he is an effective advocate for his constituents and he hasn't done anything I can't forgive him for or give him the benefit of the doubt on honest differences. I'm REALLY glad I don't live anywhere near Moran, Biden, McDermott, Bonior, etc.

I hope you are catching it. My dad's out in the Y in Santa Maria, and I haven't heard from him yet.
I have pals in Gaviota and hope they are safe!

If this moron wants to rename the airport instead of honoring Ronald Reagan, have him introduce another bill. Let's have every single street and other landmark named after Martin Luther King renamed back to its original name. Think that would fly? I can hear the cries of racism now.
