The passing of President Ronald Reagan reminds us that John Kerry was wrong about another war and another president. Here are his words from 1984 regarding the invasion of Grenada.
The Reagan policy of substituting public relations for diplomatic relations no substantial threat to U.S. interests existed and American lives were not endangered The invasion represented a bullys show of force against a weak Third World nation. The invasion only served to heighten world tensions and further strain brittle U.S. Soviet and North-South relations.

How do we know Kerry was wrong. Heres an excerpt from the new book John F. Kerry: The Complete Biography by the Boston Globe Reporters Who Know Him Best:
Twenty years later in his campaign for president, Kerry would rewrite history by listing Grenada among the U.S. military incursions he had supported. I was dismissive of the majesty of the invasion of Grenada, Kerry says now. But I basically was supportive. I never publicly opposed it.
Lets remember this next time he attacks President Bushs policys toward Iraq.
Many liberals happy Reagan is gone.
Kerry uses Reagans death to bash Bush on Cuba?
Kerry blog calls Reagan daft and unforgivable... "should have been impeached."

that Cuba thing made me laugh at its stupidity
.
JOHN KERRY was on the side of our Communist Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH and against US during the Vietnam War.

check my tagline... :)
This way, he feels that is there is indeed a attack, that Bush will not benefit from the effects and is in fact encouraging a successful attack on the U.S. to benefit his hopes to become president.
Is that not sick, stupid and traitorous?
.
You couldn't be more correct-er.
REAGAN has always done what he said he would do.
KERRY has always done what he said he wouldn't do.
KERRY is an Enemy Within, in a new Time of War, with our own Freedom now at stake...
...Big Time.
.
Politically, I didn't know what was happening at the time. I'm now making sure my kids are educated.
I knew this time would come. Still, I'm not really prepared.
Kerry? He can bite me...
He's both at the same time (and a lot more besides!)
Lets be fully accurate Kerry has been fairly respectfully of Reagan.
Statement from Massachusetts Senator and Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry:
"Ronald Reagan's love of country was infectious. Even when he was breaking Democrats hearts, he did so with a smile and in the spirit of honest and open debate. Despite the disagreements, he lived by that noble ideal that at 5 p-m we weren't Democrats or Republicans, we were Americans and friends. President Reagan and Tip O'Neill fought hard and honorably on many issues, and sat down together to happily swap jokes and the stories of their lives. The differences were real, but because of the way President Reagan led, he taught us that there is a big difference between strong beliefs and bitter partisanship.
"He was the voice of America in good times and in grief. When we lost the brave astronauts in the Challenger tragedy, he reminded us that, Nothing ends here; our hopes and our journeys continue. "Now, his own journey has ended-a long and storied trip that spanned most of the American century-and shaped one of the greatest victories of freedom. Today in the face of new challenges, his example reminds us that we must move forward with optimism and resolve. He was our oldest president, but he made America young again.
"Our prayers are with his family, and the wife he loved in a way all the world could see. And to the end, she loved him with courage and complete devotion. She helped all of us better understand the cruel disease that took him away before it took his life, and what we must do to prevent and cure it.
"Teresa and I and our family extend our deepest sympathies to Nancy Reagan and the Reagan family. Today, from California to Maine -- from sea to shining sea -- Americans will bow their heads in prayer and gratitude that President Reagan left such an indelible stamp on the nation he loved."
I love to bash Kerry too (and yes he was, apparently, against the invasion before he was in favor of it) but I think perhaps today we (our side) should rise above polotics.
i knew it was more than just the nice weather...
that was putting a spring in my step.
an evil force has been removed from the continuum.
what a g#daman beautiful f#$king day- i think i may just burst into song at any moment...
Ding-Dong! Ding-Dong!...the evil f#$k is Dead!
These people are really sick. The division of politics in this country is greater than most suspect, I'm wondering what it is going to take for things to blow apart and we start fighting each other?
Man some of the comments at the "DU" were disgusting.
I am ashamed that I took a peak to see what was going on over there....this kind of comment is running rampant over there with so much bitter hatred...I hope these people have strong hearts...their gonna kill themselves with their putrified hating.
.
Good for you.
Our Kids, our Wives and Husbands and our Parents MUST get educated about current Political Events because our Enemies at home and abroad in Time of War sure are.
.
Didn't the 911 flights originate from Logan International in Boston? {Kerry's home state}
Wasn't Algore in charge of transportation safety?
I might be mistaken on my facts, but if they are correct that wouldn't
be a very good resume' enhancer even for the Libs.....
The difference between Reagan and Kerry? Reagan always supported freedom. Kerry always opposes it. He opposed it in Vietnam, he opposed it in Nicaragua, he opposes it in Iraq, and he most assuredly opposes it in the United States. In my humble opinion, John Kerry wasn't worthy to shine Ronald Reagan's shoes, much less a successor to the presidency.
.
Congratulations, fhayek, you have just defined THE Issue of this year's Presidential Campaign.
That is until HILLARY gets herself into it.
A HILLARY who is the Anti-U.S. Mirror Image of JOHN KERRY.
.
Sure did and sure was.
Kerry's team fears that a terror attack on the U.S. would have the opposite effect that it did in Spain.
The are therefore launching a pre-emptive move to try to redirect the anger from the Islamist enemy to president Bush, should one occur.
They are despicable beyond words and comprehension. "Evil" comes to mind.
I went there first, before coming here, just to get it over with.
I feel sorry for a good deal of DU posters; they are soul-less and immature freaks whose lives are imploding, and persist on blaming everyone save themselves for their current station.
Everybody should know that when you hate, you expose your true weakness, your ignorance. I grew up in a time when one would be mortified if the public at large was obvious to an individual's stance on things.
Me? I wouldn't lower myself. I guess that makes me a conservative.
