Hard to reflect on the irony that Ronald Reagan died on the day when the world is focused on D Day commemorations, on the fight for freedom. That battle was the cornerstone of Reagan's administration.
God rest his soul,we will miss him dearly.
President Bush is eerily like President Reagan in his adherence to principle and in his faith. They both are LIKABLE human beings attuned to the REAL America.
We should make it so!
'Wasn't it Rush who gave him the name "Ronaldus Magnus"?'
I think so, yes.
I'll be taping mondays show for sure.
They did a beautiful tribute, with some quotes from Reagan in his presidency during tragedies he endured.....including one beautiful one about the death of soldiers that just made me ball and I don't remember him since I was too young to remember his Presidency.
After the horrible malaise that was the Presidency of James Earl Carter, Reagan was literally a breath of breath air that literally brought morning to America, to partially paraphrase that great tag line from the Reagan 1984 re-election campaign. But Reagan's greatest legacy was directly confronting Communism; it was Reagan's policies that gave him the confidence to say one of the truly memorable statements of all time: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" I will never forget my tears of joy on November 9, 1989, when the Berlin Wall did fall, which made me even more proud of what Reagan did for the USA.
Godspeed.
Poor Margaret Thatcher, Reagans dear friend is not in condition to come to his funeral, something she wanted to be able to do for him, in the past few years when she traveled, she always had a black dress incase this news came to them.
It was my great honor to have served President Reagan during his first term. God bless him and his family
How right you are GOP chick.
Thank you FRiends, for sharing in mourning for my President.
RIP GRIP
One of the finest leaders America ever had. I wish him a quiet journey into the twilight.
God speed, President Reagan. Please watch over your beloved America.
