It was a great time to be a Marine. I sure would like to relive it.

Rest in Peace, President Reagan.

Makes me more determined than ever to keep his legacy polished every way possible.

What a beautiful way to put it.... and quite an inspiration for us all.

Gosh, I'm a lot sadder than I expected, even with the warning.

I will remembert Ronald Reagan with great fondness and love. He will always be near and dear to my heart and one of my greatest heroes.

I feel as if I have lost a family member. I guess in a very real way, we all have.

GOD BLESS RONALD REAGAN, TRUE AMERICAN HERO AND PATRIOT!

That's a lovely poem and a fitting farewell Victoria.

I'm sad at his passing, but I'm joyful that this great man has begun his eternal Heavenly life.

So sad. President Reagan helped to shape my view of the world. May he rest in peace.

My youngest son was named in honor of him. Benjamin Reagan (my last name). My sincere prayers to the family.

I am saddened but there are no tears. I don't think he would have wanted that. With blessed mercy his suffering is finally over.

I feel similar and relieved in many ways that his suffering is over. I am sure his family feels similar having had to actually watch over him all these LONG LONG years. I am sure his greatness comforts them and he finally now has his mind back. Goodnight Sweet Dear President Reagan until we meet again.

Knowing that he was so ill and that it was bound to happen at any time doesn't make his passing any less heartbreaking.

Ronald Wilson Reagan wasn't just a great man and President, he had a special vision, dignity and grace, the likes of which we will probably never again see in our lifetime.

He came to office during dour, difficult times (Carter's Great Malaise and the post-Watergate hangover) and not only restored our pride and optimism, but our hopes and dreams. He didn't do it all by himself, but inspired us to want to make America great again.

President Reagan not only succeeded in smashing communism just about everywhere (except Manhattan's Upper West Side), but dared -- to the shock and horror of many around the world (and, again, the Upper West Side) -- to put forth the United States of America as a model for the rest of the world. He was an unabashed fan of America and wasn't afraid to say it. He made no apologies for our freedoms, values and other superior qualities; in fact, he wanted to share them with the rest of the world.

I will always be proud of the fact that the very first vote I cast was for his re-election. It was my first time voting, and that was the first lever I pulled.

R.I.P., Mr. President and thank you always for making us a better place and a better people. We love you and we'll never forget you.

Nice idea, wish I could make it.

Chances of doing it in my rat infested area are slim to none, but I will check with the Mayor on Monday. It is possible that he may go for the idea.

Thanks. I think humor is most appropiate at times like this. As my cousin said in his eulogy for my Dad, a genial man who loved a good joke, especially self deprecating ones, Do you think Uncle Mitch would want to see us bawling our eyes out, or laughing about all the good times we had? I think President Reagan would understand the tears, but want us to also remember with a laugh and a toast his best moments.

AWWWWWW that did it. I'm crying again! This is the first president that I cried over in my life.

Same here. I never knew until Reagan that you could honestly love someone you never met in person.
