Why don't we wait for a bit more information?
Uh, yes. Dick needs to go, pronto. One of his boys is going to get nailed in this telling-secrets-to-Chalabi thing, and he'll be damaged goods from then on out. Might as well leave while the gettings good. Something tells me he's going to get one of those proverbial visits from his doctor telling him that he needs to step down for "health related reasons."
"Could Dick Cheney be needing to spend more time with his family?"
I think its going to be a "sudden heart problem" if Cheney heads to a Wyoming retirement.

Bush Consults Lawyer in CIA Leak Case 2 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites) has consulted an outside lawyer in case he needs to retain him in the grand jury investigation of who leaked the name of a covert CIA (news - web sites) operative last year, the White House said Wednesday.
There was no indication that was a target of the leak investigation, but the president has decided that "in the event that he needs his advice," he would retain him," White House deputy Claire Buchan.
The attorney is Jim Sharp, she said, confirmed a report by CBS News.
"The president has said that everyone should cooperate in this matter and that would include himself," Buchan said.
She deflected questions about whether Bush had been asked to appear before a grand jury in the case.
If I'm not badly mistaken (and I believe that I'm not) the name in "Plame" and not "Plume." I doubt the validity of this article in that no reputable journalist would misspell someone's name. Oh crap!! I completely forgot that we are dealing with the press which is a vital organ of the LEFT in this country.

What's the big deal??
Why the investigation? Where's the scandal? I am amazed after 8 years of legitimate abuse of power, obstruction of justice and scandals, that the press is consumed with (1) Panties on Iraqi heads as "torture", and (2) The non-Leak of an Overt Covert Agent.

Not to mention KAPUT and TOAST!!!
You're gonna get an ulcer if you let every little thing drive you nuts. :)
Everyone and his mother knows it was Scooter Libby. I don't see why they don't throw him overboard already. The longer this things takes, the worse it will get.
He has not retained him! Jeez would everybody calm down!
Seems prudent. End of story.
You left out FINI!! and CURTAINS!!!
Is Jim Sharp sharp?
Try less key words, like - Bush attorney leak - and you get results
