I think you will find, from the excellent information provided by FL_engineer, that Mudafer Yassin had/has two brothers...Moyser and Moffak. The Yassin (or Yasin) family hails from Mosul. Arab society is tribal. The Yasin family, give or take a brother or two, would still be just where they always where.

What did he do for a living? Do you mean before or after he worked for Saddam? (Sorry, just couldn't resist!)

Being married to an arab can be very bad for your health.

I believe I SAW the interview on TV. I specifically remember seeing Hugo and Andy together on a balcony in Baghdad, I believe. Neither of them looked the way I imagined, but they also seemed somewhat evasive in their answers, especially Hugo. Interspersed between this interview was one with Aziz who appeared to be in a studio. He MAY have initially talked with NB via e-mail and then met him personally in Iraq -- I don't recall him being that specific. The overall impression I got was that they didn't just happen upon each other in Iraq the way the e-mail makes it sound. Their meeting was prearranged, i.e., come see me when you get to Iraq and maybe we can do some business together.

Don't forget Sheik Ahmed Yassin, the founder of Hamas, who was recently "blowed up real good," courtesy of the Israelis.

Berg is a VERY common Jewish name.

Do we even know for SURE that Michael Berg's sister was married to the Iraqi?? Could that be a fake story also?

Another Freeper just said that the truest statement made by Mchael Berg was "Alqueda killed their best friend".

Yes, I see where Mudafer Yassin's brother are, in Mosul.

But, where is Mudafer Yassin? Did he and Michael's sister live in the U.S. or in Iraq? Obviously, Madafer is not in Mosul or Nick would have visited his uncle-in-law instead of his uncle-in-law's brother. There is no mention of Nick visiting his uncle-in-law while in Iraq, which leads me to believe that Madafer is not in Iraq. If still alive (and we haven't heard he's dead), he is likely in the U.S.

So again, where is Mudafer Yassin?

Yes, I read the "excellent information" from FL_engineer, but that just told me there are a whole lot of Yassin/Yasin family members around, many of whom are up to no good.

What they mean is..."access to liberal communications". They're probably out to counter the success of conservative talk radio with a clandestine "end-run" LPFM project. The libs can't generate any success with mainstream radio. Theyre desperate, so this is a clever next step.

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater. LPFM is a Godd Thing. Many churches have it.

Could you refresh us on who Hugo and Andy are? And why that interview mattered. I remember it slightly but I only saw it once. Was Andy a friend Berg met in Iraq?

Who else would know besides Moore-linked sources? I can only think of one answer: Berg's own family.

Actually, anyone in Disney-Miramax who was involved in the decision-making process about distribution would have seen the film. So the list of possibilities is longer than just the Berg family.

Could be Moore wants to suppress the Berg footage, not because of anything Nick says, but because Moore wants to hide his own acquaintance with Nick.

This could all be BS designed to create more buzz for Moore's film.

Also a very plausible scenario. That's the problem trying to figure out the Left: with them, anything goes, so it follows that anything is possible.

George Noory is a raving Leftist (Art Bell is only marginally less so).

Berg was in Iraq to aid the islamic terrorists...

I am also inclined to believe this. In fact, my suspicion is that Nick Berg may have gone so far as to consider converting to Islam. The subversive, activist Left has made common cause with the radical Islamists for no other reason than the old truism: the enemy of my enemy is my friend (albeit a temporary friend).

Although their reasons are different, both want to destroy the United States and Western civilization. Should they ever succeed, they would turn on each other. But until then...

Something's definitely up at MM's website. No matter what link you hit in his "Mike's Messages" it takes you to the May 23rd entry. The dated messages change the url but the message stays the same. Also, when you hit the "Check out the archive" link it takes you back to the May 23rd message.

Interesting.
