Your data is faulty.
The Kentucky Guard, for example, exceeded its FY04 retention goals five months ahead of projections. I was assigned to STARC at Frankfort, and saw the data.
The Army has an MOS for writers. The country needs a few good writers. Report to the recruiter forthwith.
"Jimmy likes Elaine. Jimmy's had his eye on Elaine for a while now. Jimmy's on crutches. Don't touch Jimmy!"
Thank you!
You have mail....
Okay!
I did a scan of the list, and here's what I find:
- US under Reagan made 16 deployments, one of which (the MFO mission in the Sinai) is still ongoing, and has been incorporated into the War On Terror;
- US under GHWB made 18 deployments, including Desert Shield/Storm, the beginning of Restore Hope (Somalia), and two Force Protection missions in Saudi which have been incorporated into the War On Terror;
- US under William the Impeached made 46 deployments, more than both his predecessors combined, incuding the escalation of Restore Hope resulting in Mogadishu, the unilateral attacks on Kosovo and Iraq (both during Monica-gate), and the Haitian and Kurdish refugee and humanitarian missions. For a guy who loathed the military, he sure ordered us around a lot!
Most of Slick's deployments were nation-building/humane missions, which detracted from the main purpose: defending us. MOst of the CLinton deployment orders came not from the WH, but from New York - and the UNSC. And THAT is what frosts me.
WOW! That's an interesting assessment. It's so....scattered under the Drillmeister. I guess Klintoon had his focus elsewhere! Ahem. (sorry - couldn't resist)
Getting deployed is the sacrifice. Been there done that.
Tell me about that "atrocious track record." Just curious to see which operations you think fall into the category of "international adventurism."
"Violent babysitter"? Apparently our rnment has determined, and rightfully so, that many people in this country are not smart enough to protect themselves. Of course, the government that we are speaking of is state government since these are state laws.
"Socialist healthcare"? If memory serves correctly, socialist healthcare would be free to all people, and the government would foot the bill. I don't think that applies here. Either way, healthcare is a whole different animal that you and I would likely see eye to eye on.
Good facts! I knew Bill was bad, but did not know the extent of it!!!
