My family has no veterans that have passed, but my daughter and I visited a Veteran's Cemetery today anyway.
I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

Ahhh Yes..."She would smell the familiar 'Daddy Smell'....and bury her little tiny face into her daddy's neck...happy to be just holding her daddy once again".
My Daddy a WWII Veteran passed away in March. The story above had me swallow a big lump in my throat.
In memory of my loving Dad, Clarence D. Glenn USS Mississippi WWII. Until God allows me to smell that familiar "Daddy Smell" once again.

There is nothing like the treasured "Daddy smell".
