How is this going to play in Peoria?

Seems the cause may be political correctness in the military. More Clinton legacy.

That's just not....surprising.

Sounds like she probably got her star under Clinton. My question is, why was Central Command afraid of her? Afraid is not the right word, but I can't come up with another.

If they had went upto the Joint Chiefs and said "look, this General has let her command degenerate into something out of Stripes, we need to replace them with somebody else" rather than turn command over to others (which is where part of the confusion comes in over why there was such a lack of oversight), it probably would have been alright, and we would not have had this cluster-somethingrather that we have now.

I can't see the this Joint Chiefs/administration being scared of her. They are going to run this as smooth as possible, and use the best possible people. I just can't believe they'd be worried about the fact that she was one of the highest ranking females.

Instead they took a loosely-disciplined group of people, and put them in a gray-zone where they could try out whatever little deviant games they felt like.

Don't care one stinking bit about what happened to Abu Ghraib except that the new policy should be implemented that for every coalition member that's killed 10 of these prisoners will die by slow electrocution or by chainsaw cutting each appendage at a time.

finally some refreshing truth. However, the feminists did not just take over during the Clinton administration. they have been a force to reckon with inside the DoD for some time. The DACOWITZ crowd has always been ramming their militant lesbian/feminism down the throats of the military, and the uniform services (excepting the honorable USMC) go along to get along. Its all about careers...until the s... hits the fan, like this prison scandal.

However, this is all symtomatic of the larger problem our military faces. As our society grows more gender neutral, those men who are naturally inclined to military service, conservative, traditional, honorable men, will opt out of serving because they don't want to be a victim of the gender wars within DoD. What infantry soldier wants to attack a nest of tough fighting, committed moslem fanatics when his female boss (future projection) has no idea of the suffering or misery of combat. I predict that the more women become esconced in the military the more men will not want to serve and fight for and with them.

Regards,

"...severe cultural humiliation..."

Ah, the very best kind!
Shall we resume?

I wonder what the feminazis think about this female general helping to cause the problems in the prison. Haven't heard word one, so I guess they are still tweaking things so that the feminist movement will not be at fault, in any way, shape or form.

I love it when liberal causes butt heads.

Thanks to Rep. Heather Wilson, New Mexico Republican and a former military officer, we now know the sequence of events that led to the American military police abuse and torture of Iraqi prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison.

Torture? What torture? Without any doubt there was abuse. But torture? Hardly. Unless we're prepared to rewrite the definition for the word torture.
