Men - not women but men - in even the most primitive societies have always provided some support or protection for their private members since they first walked upright; the very notion that they would go into battle swinging and flailing about from both ends is ludicrous.

Clothing was invented by outcasts who were too stupid to realize how far north they had wandered.

Yeah, that totally stinks and takes away from what the word "tragedy" means. That Agamemnon lives is a tragedy, and in this movie he gets what he deserves.
Way to go Hollywood!

Agamemnon "got what he deserved" in traditional mythology also, just a little later. He was killed in his bath by his wife and her new lover, at least according to the ancient Greek play that bears his name.
The movie isn't bad, but its treatment of Aeneas is pretty stupid. Rather than showing him as a Prince of Troy, and a brother of Paris and Hector, he is depicted as just some random guy to whom Paris gives the "sword of Troy" as the city burns. Paris actually has to ask him his name. I know they didn't have time to deal with another major character, so why not just leave him out entirely. It isn't like they need to set up for "Troy 2: The Eternal City"
