My point has never been about letting people 'off the hook' but impugning the integrity of a solid citizen like Rummy..with absolutely no basis in fact to back it up.

Let me again offer you the opportunity to provide any basis in fact for that accusation.

All that’s left is to see if Rumsfeld does a Poindexter and really stands up for setting the environment which those being prosecuted are going down for. I’m not holding my breath..

I don't see the relevance to the question but since we are just talking opinions in an opinion forum, let me say that I have every reason to believe that Rummy will in fact see that the investigation goes to wherever the evidence leads. This would be based on his integrity and character.

It was obvious from the beginning to anyone who understands the way Marines fight. Marines never choose not to deliver on a threat. They are not structured or trained for taking a town by sniper.

I have stated from the beginning that the 'strategy' involved in this 'house to house town fighting' absolutely, positively sucks. I stated that before the 25 kia (rest in peace). I dunno how much more clear my position can be.

I remember when all the poop was going down and E D (FOX n Friends) talked about how Hootie was going to have to "yield" to the demands of the NOW bi*ches, specifically Top Nag Martha Burke. I wrote Ms E D that she had absolutely NO IDEA what she was dealing with ;-)

E D also got onto Tiger's case because he wouldn't jump into the leftist compost pile and protest Augusta's policies. Once again, she had no idea what she was talking about.

viewing these pictures, as well as other pictures of terrorism, reminds me of the holocaust and Schindler's List. am i the only one who has realized this? i watched that movie on television in 4th grade (i think) with no censoring that i can recall. im supposing the movie was made to keep what the nazis did to the jews during WW2 in everyone's minds. im almost glad people are willing to make such movies. things like concentration camps and more recent events should not be forgotten. when i see those pictures of nick berg's severed head, it reminds me of why we are even in this whole mess. if you don't learn from the past, you will surely fail in the future. the media should not spoon-feed us whatever they feel is appropriate. there are many things i feel they should not even reveal to the American public at all. but nothing can be accomplished without some form of war, whether it is a simple arguement with a friend, a water balloon fight to capture your playmate's flag, or a full-scale war. as long as the pictures are still around, some will become even more dedicated to eliminate the islamic scum that could smack us in the back of the head again at any moment anywhere in the US. they are still a threat, and we as a nation should not forget that.
