Nick's death has touched many in a profound, and, I believe, ultimately good way. For while there is no avoiding the shock and horror of his death, yet some good will come of it if we as a nation resolve ever the stronger to defeat the evil that took him from you.

You make recall that the death of Emmett Till galvanized the civil rights movement; so may Nick's death galvanize us to defeat Islamofascism -- for fascism is what that evil is.

I pray right now for the Berg family. The horrible pain that their hearts are enduring is beyond understanding. You alone know the pain of death for mankind on the cross.You rose again to bring hope and life to all who believe. I pray your comfort for their hearts and souls right now. Grant them Your peace and hope in this horrible time. Be with our country tonight Lord. We are grieving over this horrible attrocity. I pray for our President, and leaders that You will fill them with wisdom and courage.
