Right now I'm watching an old SNL from the Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, Chris Farley, Mike Meyers, David Spade, Adam Sandler days. I'm not seeing the mean spirited, partisan stuff I saw in the current version tonight--actually I only caught the "news" portion tonight but Tina Fey throws in a lot of left-wing nastiness all the time--it really isn't funny. Tonight she made some crack about Ann Coulter being middle aged and using cocaine. It was just to say something nasty about Ann Coulter and it wasn't funny. The 70's cast was great but I think the Phil Hartman et. al. period was my favorite.
