Shalom.

Maybe there's a better idea. Maybe we should FReep the place - all wearing T- shirts that read: Sexual orientation is for the bedroom, not for the amusment park.

Now, there's a very interesting thought. :-)

So, should we try to do it? I've never been to Dollywood, although I have a very personal connection to Silver Dollar City. I'd love to start sticking it back at the homosexuals (figuratively, of course) by letting them know that we all know how sick they are, and we view "gay days" as an expression of that sickness. And do that now, before SDC also has to take it in the wrong end.

Any FReepers in Tenn want to set something up?

Shalom.

Many FReepers wondered why Disney didn't go after them for co-opting the Disney logo for Gay Days. Now we know.

...and look where it has gotten them. CEO ousted, stock way down, boycotts galore.

''People feel like there's a lot of hatred against the (gay and lesbian) community in Tennessee.''

Gee, I can't imagine why they would feel that way in the Bible belt.

"So I guess it's just a trademark violation, not a statement indicating support of morality."

Dollywood better hope it gets a message across that it's a moral issue. The bread and butter of that park are joe and sally sixpack, Aunt Bea and Andy, and a million other country music listening, Dixie Chick bashing, flyover country living folks who will sooner go to Branson, MO. than patronize a park that tolerates "Gay Days"....especially in the context of a country music lifestyle.

I was hoping Dollywood had really taken a pro-family, pro-moral stance. Not so. Is there not one major business entity left in this country that can stand up to this tiny minority? Apparently not.

The real irony is this: If such a company would emerge, a company that came right out and said, "We don't want the business of the homosexual community," I believe wholeheartedly that the pro-moral segment of the population would financially reward them in a huge way, FAR beyond what these businesses reap with their pro-gay crap.

I've about had it with this in your face queer crap. Tolerance is one thing, acceptance is another.

Agreed. But look for the 'in your face queer crap' to accelerate:

I live in East Tennessee. It isn't hatred (though the degenerates would like everyone to believe that 'cause it poses the degenerates as victims), it's a revulsion of their degeneracy and disgust over their obsession with being identified by their chosen degenerate sexual proclivities. Most folks in Tennessee have a 'live and let live' way of getting along. Degeneracy isn't something we want to have fellow Americans forcing us to focus upon. As for Dolly, well, she's been remade by Hollyweird don'tcha know. Dolly was once a practicing Christian.

They do not want to do this is my back yard.

Queer activism has been confined to college campuses in East Tennessee.

They go messing with Dolly...well, pity the fags.

Dollywood should close the park for the day on May 22.

Plus two days afterwards for fumigation.

I had to look back into the archives a bit to find this one. It seems that the gay activists are trying to extend their agenda into this area... witness the recent flap in Dayton, TN with their county commission...one boneheaded thing gets mentioned in the press and the protesters come out in droves. Strangely enough, I never heard any resolution to the first story out of Grundy County. I'll say it again...the gays would have to be woefully ignorant of this area or really are looking for an issue or a fight of some sort to be trying some of the stunts we've seen around here lately. They keep pushing the line further...trying to get a reaction that they can whine about.

You treat them too kindly using the term 'gays' ... they're degenerate homosexuals, period! If anyone doubts it, just sit in the parking lot of a homosexual nightclub like we have in Johnson City. The degenerates are a continuos stream in and out to have sex in their cars. Even once 'open-minded' teens that go into that pit come out shaking their heads in disgust.

Good question.

But, how about the folks who have made Dolly Parton the success that she is, step up?

Maybe she gave a wink and a nod to the fags - dunno 'bout all that. But, it's about more that that. Thought I avoid all theme parks, as a preference, I do know that folks do like them - family people.

And the q's have buggered Disney, already. Pigeon Forge would be a fine battlefield.

I don't know how, but certainly, getting the word out in East Tennessee is a start.

I have sent a couple of Freepmails.

Let's get busy on this.

From the link: Escape to the world of Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain theme park! Enjoy the wholesome fun and entertainment of the music, crafts, attractions, and rides at Dollywood. I've been to Dollywood ... and I had a whoilesome day of fun. But I strongly suspect the word means something very different to homosexuals. I wouldn't take my wife or any family member to the park around the date listed. Why subject children or myself to degenerates posing to showcase their degeneracy? Sick ...
